Movie Review: Rhea Perlman is Outstanding in 'Marvelous and the Black Hole'
Marvelous and the Black Hole is a delightful comedy about a depressed teenager and the magician who helps turn her life around. If that premise doesn’t perk you up a little, the movie isn’t for you but if you’re like me, and that description made you smile, you must see this movie. Rhea Perlman, famed star of Cheers, gets a rare leading role as the magician in this story and she has lost none of her light comic touch from when she was a television star. In fact, based on the evidence of this movie, experience has only made Perlman even more lovable.

Movie Review: 'Unplugging' is Unfunny
Unplugging is a dimwitted sitcom premise desperately stretched out to feature length. The premise of this new comedy starring Eva Longoria and Matt Walsh could barely sustain an episode of insert modern family comedy here and yet someone thought it would make a good feature length film. They were wrong, very, very wrong. Unplugging is a tedious 90 plus minute slog through an unfunny dad joke.

Zendaya is a better Spider-Man than Tom Holland
So the other day my so called "friend" made me watch The Greatest Showman, fully knowing that I hate musicals. And I thought it was fine. Not the worst musical I've ever seen. They actually manage to tell the story through the songs for a good chunk of them, even if it's mostly through montage. It's basically X-Men Origins: Wolverine but if William Striker was the protagonist. But that's not really the point.

The Lost City - A Movie Review
This isn’t going to be the typical adventure, that’s what scares me. The Lost City traveled into theaters in 2022. Loretta, a reclusive romance novelist is kidnapped from her book tour. Coming to her rescue, Alan, her charming book cover model, is swept away on an adventure through the jungle.

Top 25 Moments In Which Endgame Made Me Cry, Laugh out Loud, or Smile. Top Story - April 2022.
Avengers: Endgame, as we know, came out 3 years ago now, and it still feels like yesterday that I was trying (and failing) to focus on normal, everyday life when this movie was hitting theaters. Now, as we approach its anniversary on April 26, I can’t stop thinking of how much this movie (and its predecessor Avengers: Infinity War) shook the world and changed the Marvel Cinematic Universe forever. These movies are, in my opinion, two of the greatest superhero movies, and I could go on for hours as to why they are so amazing. Not only does Endgame have show-stopping, jaw-dropping, tear-jerking moments— it also has an ensemble cast that ties up and connects a decade of movies perfectly. That storytelling and world-building is enough to give me chills.

Lord of the Rings: Is Faramir Underrated?
This story may also be read on MackenzieTittle.com “Faramir? Mackenzie, why would you write an article about Faramir?” I know, I know — he may seem like a minor character. In some regards, I suppose that he is. But as I’ve been reading my way through the LotR Trilogy, I’ve been repetitively struck by Faramir’s awesomeness!

Selah is still the Hero
Selah and the Spades is an independent, coming-of-age film written and directed by Tayarisha Poe and starring the ever-amazing Lovie Simone Oppong. The story takes place at Haldwell Academy, a prestigious east coast boarding school comprised of five factions: The Sea, the Skins, the Bobbies, the Prefects, and the Spades, run by main character Selah Summers. The Spades supply students with booze, pills, and other recreational drugs. However, the story isn't about the factions, but how Selah walks a fine line between being feared and loved while grooming her next protégé to take over after she graduates.
