This Is Why We Can't Have Nice Things!!
Comcast vs Fox vs Disney, FIGHT! Holy f*** is this s*** going cray. Like, what in the f*** even people? Holy mother of god. Ok, Comcast, I know you're scared, I know. But like, who told you this was the best possible course of action? People already don’t like you and this isn’t helping, at all.

The Double-Edged Sword of Social Media
I am a filmmaker. I have always loved to write. When I'm not telling other people's important stories as a journalist, I am creating worlds of my own, as an indie filmmaker under my production company name FARMGIRL IN THE CITY PRODUCTIONS INC, with the dream of being as well known as people like Patty Jenkins, Roxann Dawson, Ron Howard....

Why I'm Tired of Remakes and Reboots
Remakes and reboots, oh my. It's seems like that's all I've been seeing over the last several years. Now before I proceed any further, let me be clear of something: I'm not against all remakes and reboots. There are some that I like and dislike. So I thought I'd get that out of the way. I'll be giving my two cents on why Hollywood should come up with new ideas, as opposed of them doing constantly doing remakes and reboots.

You're Projecting Again: Projection in Theatre
In light of technological improvements in the past few years, it is now easier than ever before to incorporate moving graphics and images into live theatre. Theatre arts is one of the most long-standing and beloved forms of art that continues to evolve and adapt as time crawls forward. Despite the comments of theatre traditionalists modern projection is heightening the message and integrity of modern productions.

DC vs Marvel: Should We Be United or Rivals?
Can't we all just get along in this one article? Note to self, this was written a year before Avengers: Infinity War. The three points I'll be making will be depicted and contrast from fans vs the two studios. Personally, I'm a DC fan but I enjoy Marvel films back in the day. But loved how DC once was in 2008 before CG/special effects got more advanced. From here on out I won't be picking sides, but judging both.

Is This the End of Channel Awesome?
This is something that has weighed on me for some time. I’ve been a personal fan of the content creators on the website Channel Awesome for quite some time, but I noticed not too terribly long ago that there seemed to be a mass exodus of personalities from that site. Then came #ChangetheChannel, in which these departing creators used a Google document to air their grievances against Channel Awesome and its managing personnel. You can read that document here.

'Finding Dory'
When it comes to PIXAR, they are the best at animation. That is a fact. Despite having some weak entries in the past years, their other movies are still held as one of the all time best. Now, I could argue that because of Toy Story 3, one shouldn’t be worried for The Incredibles 2 and because Brad Bird is returning to direct and write it, we should all be chill, but, fact is, after Toy Story 3, PIXAR took a gigantic hit. Their movies could not match the genius that Toy Story 3 or the previous films were. Now, InsideOut and Coco were strong and powerful movies. Coco was even, in my opinion, the strongest film PIXAR has done since Toy Story 3, but besides Coco and Inside Out, let’s look at other movies that PIXAR released after TS3.

Dressing Room Essentials
Hi! Doing shows over the years and having dressing rooms has let me pick up a few tips on how to pack for a show effectively. Being in community theatre, we often have to share dressing rooms which can be fun or annoying depending on who you share with (it's mostly fun). That being said, it gives you a limited amount of mirror and overall dressing room space. Here I'll give you a few tips on how to get the most out of your space and a few lifesaving dressing room essentials.

Oscars and the Films of 1989
1989 – The year I graduated from high school put out some great movies. My favorites of the year were When Harry Met Sally, Indiana Jones, Dead Poets Society, The Little Mermaid, Pet Sematary, Born on the 4th of July, and Lean on Me. Of my favorites, only two were nominated and won an Oscar; Oliver Stone got Best Director for Born on the 4th of July and Dead Poets Society won Best Screenplay. Looking over the list of the winners of the 62nd Academy Awards, I am again in disagreement. I wonder if there will ever be a year when I actually agree with them. I doubt it. They said the Best Picture was Driving Miss Daisy—I disagree. They said the Best Actor was Daniel Day Lewis in My Left Foot—I disagree. They said the Best Actress was Jessica Tandy of Driving Miss Daisy—I disagree again. Let me tell you how I would have awarded the Oscars, and then I'll explain why.

Say It Ain't So! Paramount Officially Pulls the Sequel to 'World War Z' and 'Friday the 13th' off Its Upcoming Slate
I'll take "movie installments virtually no one cares about" for $100, Alex. If you were one of the 12 people on Earth clamoring for the sequel to the 2013 #BradPitt-zombie flick, World War Z or itching for a reboot of the #FridayThe13th franchise, you must unfortunately wait a little while longer.

'Kung Fu Panda' Fraudster Given 2 Years in Prison & $3 Million Debt to Dreamworks
Take note, future fraudsters: #Dreamworks does not play around when it comes to frivolous lawsuits. A lawsuit involving Massachusetts cartoonist Jayme Gordon has finally come to its definitive conclusion, resulting in a two-year jail sentence for Gordon and a hefty $3 million pay up to Dreamworks.
