'Hamilton' Might Be Up for Oscar if Disney Pushes Hard Enough
The film industry is filled with prestigious film awards, but none carry a greater weight than the Academy Awards, AKA the Oscars. An Oscar can launch careers, bring films to public attention, and possibly put it them the pantheon of the greatest titles. The phrase "Academy Award Winner" in front of a film or performer instantly adds legitimacy. While any studio would love to collect an Oscar, arguably none push harder than Disney.

Joker 2019 (Todd Phillips) Film Review
"I just hope my death makes more cents than my life” Todd Phillips’ Joker takes darkness to another level. It can be summarised with the phrase ‘you can be kind to the world, but the world will not be kind back’. A deeply disturbing, bleak and gripping exploration of a broken individual with a complex antihero that leaves viewers seriously questioning their relationship with the ‘protagonist’. We watch Arthur Fleck’s miserable world (full of miserable people) fall apart through a painful series of events that seemingly cannot get any worse until the next comes along. His character develops throughout the film in a unique fashion, ending up even more insane than he was to begin with. Yet it is the consequence of this that provides him with his new identity that he is so pleased with, as he becomes a saint for those similarly outraged and negatively impacted by the system. Arthur subconsciously fuels further rebellion against “fascist” mayor Thomas Wayne following his actions on the Murray show, by which pure anomie is generated.

Hollywood needs to desist with reboots, remakes, and sequels! It has been a long time or more than a decade since we got reboots, remakes, and sequels, and it seems like Hollywood is obsessed with reboots, remakes, and sequels and will not stop. Disney is not the only one that remakes, reboots, or makes a sequel. Other studios like Sony Pictures, Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (MGM), Lionsgate, New Line Cinema, Columbia Pictures, Paramount, and Orion Pictures, IFC Films, Warner Bros., Walt Disney Studios that fall on the same page or in this case screen. The significant part of Hollywood is that Hollywood does not like to take risks. Hollywood was best in the early years when cinema and films were making their way on the silver screen. In the early '30s, to the era of the 1970s, 1980s, 1990's there was risk-taking, and there was creativity, originality. In the digital age of the 1990s, we comprehended films like The Matrix, which made us question our reality/existence.

From Multitude Productions A lot of what is going into these scripts happened to me in the last few years. I was right out of college, figuring out what it was like to live in an apartment and keep my bank account from hitting zero. I thought I was going to be an English teacher and got a graduate degree and a job for it. Then I realized I had some choice in the matter, and I wanted to do something completely different. From there, it’s been a joyful struggle to get to where I am, and I have joyfully struggled alongside my roommates. I’m telling you this story because this is pretty much happened. Sure, it’s exaggerated because stories get exaggerated, but it should feel believable. I don’t want to write a nostalgic story about my early 20s, or about how I’m going to maybe have kids and change in my 30s. I am writing about the turbulent time in my mid-20s when people are changing around me.

From Amir Royale I made ‘PLEASE STOP CALLING ME’ originally with the intention of creating the story of a break-up. But, somehow, I quite miraculously came across a story that seemed to cause a deeper wound for me. I am not queer nor bisexual—and in this creation I’m in no way trying to speak for or against that crowd. Truthfully, I know many artisans, creators and beautiful beings my age (and older) that happen to be LGBTQ and I respect and love them with all my heart. Yet, in a weird way, this story came to me by accident through a simple question: "How wrong is cheating in the midst of insecurities?" I have my own personal stance on the answer, one I don’t really want to state, but I more so wanted this film to hear an audience’s answer as well.
