Maverick the television Western
MAVERICK was a Western television series that ran on ABC for five seasons from September 22, 1957, to July 8, 1962. There were a lot of changes along the way that ultimately led to the show being canceled. Initially, James Garner was the star as a poker player and sometimes con artist Bret Maverick. Throughout the run of the series all the men who portrayed a Maverick managed to stay above board and not allow their bad tendencies to drop too low. Most times these men exhibited a conscience and came out as being the good guy.

Hee Haw was a victim of the rural purge
There is a saying that you never bite the hand that feeds you but that is just what CBS executives did in the early 1970s. They canceled several television shows just because they revolved around country living. THE BEVERLY HILBILLIES, PETTICOAT JUNCTION, GREEN ACRES, MABERRY RFD, and HEE HAW all were fan favorites and beloved by the viewing audience, yet each of these series got the ax.

Tom and Jerry have entertained many generations
Tom ande Jerry reign supreme Four generations in my family have grown up enjoying the antics of Tom and Jerry the animated cat and mouse. In some episodes they are friends and in others they are enemies but they always entertain. The cartoon critters made their debut 8 decades ago on February 10, 1940. On this date, MGM released the short PUSS GETS THE BOOT in theaters. From that time through 1958 William Hannah and Joseph Barbera along with Rudolph Ising created magic in the form of 114 shorts from METRO GOLDWIN MAYER.

The Wild Wild West is a television classic
THE WILD WILD west was a popular series during the 1960s and many families gathered around the television set to watch this show. I had cousins whose television went out and they came to my home each week to watch the escapades of Jim West and Artemis Gordon. we squealed with delight as they conqured the bad guys or when Jim got the girl. Many young females had crushes on the two handsome men who were seen as heroes and young boys pretended they were West and Gordon just as they played cowboys and Indians.

'General Hospital' continues confusing viewers with strange connections between Port Charles residents
GENERAL HOSPITAL viewers are scratching their heads and wondering what the writers are thinking lately? It seems as if they are turning the entire town upside down and mixing up friendships as well as romantic relationships. There does not seem to be a method to the madness but two cast members have said they enjoy doing something different. Maurice Benard and Steve Burton are excited at having a different dynamic with characters than they did in the past. Those who watch the ABC soap are less than thrilled with all the chaos and confusi0on that is going on. Change is necessary on the soaps but what the GH writers are doing is destroying the entire town as well as many viewers confidence in the powers that be.

Joey Novak is big trouble on 'GENERAL HOSPITAL'
Joey Novak first appeared on GENERAL HOSPITAL on June 30, 2021, and returned on July 15, 2021. He showed up again on August 6 and it appears he is a smart ass who likes to throw his weight around. He seems to be taking advantage of the fact that Sonny Corinthos is believed to be deceased and is trying to intimidate his family. Brando Corbin stepped in on one occasion and seemed to calm him down but he came back for more trouble.
