comics
From Marvel to DC, Geeks explores the popular and independant comic titles in the geek universe.
I have reviewed the comic book series called "The EC Archives".
Welcome back to the 1950s Science Fiction Podcast. In this episode, I'll be discussing three comics from the EC Archives. These stories were originally published in Incredible Science Fictions issues #31 and #33, by EC Publishing. The first story, Fulfillment, was printed in #31; the second, Has Been, was also published in #31; and the last story, Kaleidoscope, was published in #33.

Gen V
Okay so last week in Gen V we dealt with our main characters being mind wiped and not knowing what was going on. They also just found out that Cate is the one behind their memory lapses. Andre is very hurt (as he should be) and Cate seems to have switched sides so that she stands with her friends now.

New York City Comic Con
New York Comic Con Weekend: Top Five Moments of NYCC 2023 This past weekend New York City hosted their annual Comic Con. Like other Comic Cons held around the county, there was plenty of newsworthy entertainment this weekend. With fans from around the world excited to cosplay and engage with each other at one of the biggest conventions for the media. NYCC attendees were greeted by a large display of Toei animation with giant balloons of Monkey D. Luffy from One Piece and Piccolo from Dragon Ball Z. Franchises went out of their way to bring color and excitement to the visiting fans. This year's NYCC like other conventions in the past few months have had restricted announcements due to the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike that's impacting a large portion of the entertainment world. Even with the ongoing strike celebrities, influencers and companies managed to put on a decent Comic Con.

Gen V
We left off episode 4 with Emma getting all big trying to subdue Sam at the doctors house. And there is this really hard cut and our characters don’t seem to remember anything from the night and day before. So we are missing big giant chunks of time from a very intense moment. And though it seems like it was just a giant party there seems to be more going on.

Gen V
Gen V is now releasing week to week after dropping 3 episodes at once. The first 3 episodes did a great job of setting up the story, the characters and the conflict. I think it does a great job of staying consistent with the world we already know from The Boys. Nothing in the spin off contradicts existing canon and it does a really good job of expanding on the parts of the world that The Boys doesn’t really show us.

From The Darkness
I have written a new independent comic book called From the Darkness. It is a story about overcoming stereotypes and fighting the pressures and expectations that are put on teenage girls by society. Its actually a story that gets really dark but with adolecent depression on the rise I think its appropriate. I've found an amazing team of artists that have really done a lot to help me bring this story to life. Here is some of my interview with Temple of Geek.

The Killer Movie Review (LFF 2023)
[Reviewed as part of the BFI London Film Festival 2023] In recent years, Netflix has become a major supporter for several filmmaking auteurs; following a biographical stint with Mank, David Fincher returns to a more direct storyline with The Killer. Just like his previous works, it delivers another razor-sharp package.

Most Unusual Batman: The Animated Series Comic Stories
In September 1992, mere weeks after the release of Batman Returns, Batman: The Animated Series premiered on Fox Kids. With a magnificent “Dark Deco” animation style, consistently excellent voice acting, well-developed takes on classic Batman heroes and villains, and more mature and varied approaches to storytelling, it became one of the most acclaimed animated series of all time, and a must-watch for anyone who wants to be seen as a Batman fan. Its success led to a handful of spin-off films (Most notably Batman: Mask of the Phantasm, two sequel series (Soft Reboot The New Batman Adventures – and the futuristic Batman Beyond) and further series for Superman and the Justice League, all from the same creative team. The complete universe became known as the DC Animated Universe, or DCAU for short.
