Gen V

We left off episode 4 with Emma getting all big trying to subdue Sam at the doctors house. And there is this really hard cut and our characters don’t seem to remember anything from the night and day before. So we are missing big giant chunks of time from a very intense moment. And though it seems like it was just a giant party there seems to be more going on.

Oh shit! None of them remember Sam. And he knows that it's the doctor that made them forget and that is super depressing. I am genuinely super upset about this. Sam is now on his own and he needs help and it seems like the doctor made them forget about The Woods as a whole. Wow I really just said that I really love Sam and Emma as a pair and they made Emma forget about him. That is just not okay.

The Woods also goes way deeper than we thought. Like we knew that they were experimenting on child supes but we didn’t know why. Well we just found out and it looks like they are trying to develop a virus for supes that will allow humans and theoretically Vought to control them. The doctor also wants to get a hold of Marie because her powers are definitely the most OP. I mean she is essentially a blood bender, making her capable of taking out literally anyone, Homelander included.

When Jordan and Marie are talking about the night before Jordan tries so hard to give Marie an out but what it sounds like in girl brain is “It didn’t mean anything, let’s just forget about it”. Which sucks because it's very clear that Marie is crushing real fucking hard.

Look exploding his dick was great and all but can someone please kill this psychic guy? I truly hate him. His powers are inherently predatory and that is how he chooses to use them and I have never wanted to see someone dead so badly. We are at Joffrey from Game of Thrones levels of hatred here.

Only Erik Kripke could get away with having an entire fight sequence with puppets and then pulling out and it all being real. Seriously, this show is so great.

I’m also glad that Marie has broken from her bond with the dean. Even though these kids are foggy on the actual memories and details their emotional responses are intact. And Marie knows that she can’t trust the dean.

WHY THE FUCK IS CATE IN ON THIS. I have never been so mad!!!! Oh my goodness. Why? With who? For what reason? I need so many things answered for me right now. Cate is the one that wiped their memories and I desperately need to know why.

Okay well we still don’t know why Cate went to the dark side but she did confess to her friends and give Andre his memories back, just before he was about to kill Rufus. But you could literally see all the love Andre had for her drain from his eyes as his memories came back. The likelihood of them being together later is really low now.

The character and plot development on this show is crazy good. It's only getting me more hyped for the next season of The Boys to drop. But it also really does stand on it's own. I knew the show was going to be good after the first couple of episodes but this is truly some amazing television being experienced right now. Eric Kripke is on fire and I can not wait for the rest of this season, and I am already hoping we get another.
