Dan Slott Has Now Written 1 in 5 'Spider-Man' Comics. So Which Are His Best?
With the release of Amazing Spider-Man #18 on September 21, writer Dan Slott has now officially created 20 percent of all Spider-Man comic book stories. Since 2007, Dan's name has been synonymous with the wall-crawler. He was initially one of a team of writers who were tasked with writing Spider-Man's adventures, but it very quickly became obvious that his work stood out over the others — and in November 2010, he became the sole writer of the series.

How Mary Jane's MCU Debut Could Be Inspired By the Comics
Zendaya's rumored casting as Mary Jane Watson in Spider-Man: Homecoming has caused quite a stir online. A number of fans have vocally expressed their discontent at casting an actress who doesn't look like the traditional Mary Jane Watson. The truly staggering thing about this outcry against her is the fact that her casting is still only a rumor. Yes, I do know that in the past movie studios have said an actor is playing one character when in fact they are playing another; Benedict Cumberbatch playing "John Harrison" had nobody fooled. But, until we see the film, we will be told she is playing a character by the name of Michelle.

Live In The LA Area? Then You Have to Check Out The Perky Nerd
You know what's better than comic books, coffee, and tabletop gaming? Being able to have all those things at the same time. That was the concept behind The Perky Nerd, a newly opened comic book store and coffee shop in Burbank, CA. It's only been open for about six weeks and it's already making its mark in the local area with great events like its Geek Pride Day trivia extravaganza held this weekend. I was lucky enough to be in attendance and I vaguely crushed it at nerd trivia. My team, which we named "Anakin and the Midi-cholrians," didn't win but that's only because the room was filled with trivia savvy nerds. Also, there were a lot of GoT questions and for some reason no one in my team watches that show.

Inhumans Fan Cast
Premiering later this year on ABC, the series will (obviously) be focused on the Inhumans, a super-powered human-hybrid created by aliens. Although Inhumans have had a recurring presence on Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD, this will be the first time we see The Royal Family of Inhumans in any form in the MCU.

3 Comics That Could Be the Next Big Marvel TV Series
In the last eight years the perception of superhero media has changed drastically. Before Marvel introduced us to the idea of a shared cinematic universe with Iron Man, superhero films and television series were not taken particularly seriously by the general public. Now, howeover, the Marvel Cinematic Universe has become the highest-grossing film franchise of all time and every film studio is trying to follow its lead. Marvel's biggest rival in comics, DC, is playing catch-up with its own cinematic universe (to polarizing reviews) and is trying to follow the Marvel model.

10 Superhero Comic Series We Need To See In Live Action
Superhero season is in full swing. We are fresh off the joyride that was ‘Thor: Ragnarok’ and now await, with no dearth of trepidation, the arrival of DCEU’s ‘Justice League’. Hollywood has been in reboot/remake mode for quite a while now. If we aren’t catching the third rendition of Spider-Man in a single decade, we are faced with remakes of forgotten favourites like ‘The Power Rangers’.

A Very Merry Marvel Christmas!
Ah Christmas, my favourite time of year. It is impossible to escape the feeling of the most wonderful time of the year. As such a huge part of the world's culture (Christmas has transcended its original purpose), it has became an important part of storytelling. Many television shows put on big events for their Christmas episodes, the annual Doctor Who Christmas episode is one of my personal favourites, but how have comics celebrated Christmas? Specifically, I'm going to look at how Spider-Man, the X-Men and the Hulk have all been involved in their own Christmas stories...

#ThrowbackThursday: Remembering 'The Spectacular Spider-Man'!
I've talked in one of my earlier posts about the 90s Marvel cartoons, in particular Spider-Man: The Animated Series. I absolutely loved this series, but since then, there has been another series that I also rate very highly - The Spectacular Spider-Man!

Why Do Superhero Shows Work So Well On TV?
Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl, Agents of SHIELD, Daredevil, Gotham. We are inundated with superhero TV shows at the moment (I'm not saying this is a bad thing!) and the great thing about it is - they're all really good. But what makes it work so well?
