Pirate Points and Dashed Dreams
Does it feel sometimes like you're just sailing through life? You know that restless urge to do something, whatever it is, just so that you don't have that all at sea feeling in your gut? There is constantly so much hullabaloo around, whether it is the phones, the coworkers, the projects, the distractions, my mind all at sea. No matter how much you research what it means to meditate, to make your life shipshape, it seems like life just pushes straight past you and leads in a different direction. Like a broken compass. This work is essential. It is the mast that holds up my sail, that will get me to where I need to be. But you are by and large feeling like you're stuck in high and dry, wanting to stop and breath in the salty air, to paddle in the untame sea. Yet what happens? The shrieking eels come all too quickly and you become a rat trying to desert a sinking ship.

The Essential Playlist for Fans Experiencing "Schitt's Creek" Withdrawal
My dear readers. I need you all to take a deep breath and say this with me: Schitt's Creek is over. I know that was hard, but it's important to speak those words into the universe so that the healing can begin. When the Levy family (Eugene, Dan and oft-overlooked Uncle Fred) announced that their little Canadian TV series of pure perfection and light would end after its sixth season, we all fell into our own (hopefully) metaphorical pits of despair. As of this writing, it's been two days shy of a full year since the CBC and POP Channel aired that masterful gut-punch of a series finale. We attended the Greatest Wedding in the History of Ever, checked out of the RoseBud Motel and bid adieu to Johnny, Moira, Alexis and David (aka our BFFs). Never again will we grab a smoothie at Cafe Tropical or pick up a toilet plunger at Rose Apothecary or swing by Bob's Garage for a tune-up.

10 Failed Sitcoms Starring Well-Known Comedians
A hit sitcom can turn a comedian or actor's career around in a second, no matter what stage of their career it arrives. Comedians from Ricky Gervais to Jerry Seinfeld to Ray Romano had their careers elevated by leading sitcoms that were rating successes and awards favourites. Comedians crave a hit sitcom as having the opposite can lead to embarrassment, a career downturn or the show simply being forgotten. The following 10 entries on this list are examples of established comedians trying their hand at the TV sitcom only for their efforts to wind up in failure.

But What About the Donkey Children?
*This article was first published on The Mary Sue Feb. 22, 2018. I certify that I am the original author* The movie is over, the credits are playing, and there’s happiness in the air (unless you’re watching something created by the Tear Farmers of Pixar), but you’re just sitting there, your mind fixated on a single detail in an otherwise heartwarming animated treasure. For example, listening to the song “Cruella de Vil” from 101 Dalmatians, I was suddenly slammed with the realization that she stole puppies to make coats out of them, but … it never said whether she owned any factories or anything. Was she literally going to kill them, tan the puppy hides, and stitch the coat together, all alone, by hand?

Monumental Mockumentary
There is something oddly satisfying about seeing a boom mic drop into the frame, or the fourth wall being awkwardly broken. Most satisfying of all is the truly fantastical concepts made in the documentary film style, without being, real, at all. That being said, what is more exciting than a satirical mockumentary film?

Schitt's Creek Withdrawal? Watch These Next (Based On What You Loved About It)
I am reluctant to admit that I was not an early adopter of Schitt's Creek. Based on the promos I saw, I didn't think I would like it. Even though I had family urging me to watch it, I didn't. Not until it was starting to blow up in 2020. The ads didn't do it justice because I. Love. It. But

Fans of Lucifer: How to Make the Wait for 5b Less of a Torturous Hell
It’s been 7 months since the release of Lucifer’s Season 5a and oh man... the wait for 5b has been hell. If we look at everything LuciFans have been through, though (the show’s cancellation on Fox, the many DeckerStar fakeouts, and now all these #GoodbyeLucifer posts about final days of shooting before 5B even has a public release date ?!?!?… *breathe*)…
