Nothing Said Censorship in America More Than the Cancellation of 'Soap'
In my opinion, the 1970s were the Golden Age of situation comedies. Barney Miller, All in the Family, WKRP, MASH and the Odd Couple were all unforgettable and still hold up today. But my favorite may have been Soap. Time Magazine called the series one of the 100 best shows of all time. At the same time, the Museum of Broadcast Communications said it was arguably one of the most creative efforts that network television ever put together. As for me, I hung on the show’s story arc like a bloated tic to its host. Even so, Soap only lasted four seasons and fell prey to a much higher authority.

Bad Jokes - A reluctant defence of Jimmy Carr
TW: racism, anti-Semitism, homophobia, transphobia, sexual assault, a picture of Bernard Manning “My mom, for most of her life, was a Holocaust denier. And it was terrible for the entire family to have to deal with until, finally, a couple years ago, we had an intervention. And we had a rabbi come into the home, had him walk her through the history of the Jewish people, and then he made her watch “Schindler’s List.” And after that, my mom did a complete 180. Now she can’t believe it only happened once.”

Cancel Culture Catches Up With Jimmy Carr
A few years ago, Jimmy Carr came to Winnipeg. My wife and I went to that show and heard some of the most vile jokes I have ever heard, and it turned us both off. I just didn't like the material. I mean, the guy is brilliantly funny, but the content didn't appeal to me. I don't like really vulgar comedy. I really don't. It's just not my thing. I've done comedy in the past, and always kept it fairly clean. So, no, I didn't really enjoy that Jimmy Carr show.

In Space No One Here You Complain
Pluto is a massive ball of rock and ice hanging out in the Kuiper Belt and despite being only onesixth the size of Earth's moon, it is anywhere from 2.66 billion to 4.67 billion miles away. If travelling at the speed of light it wouldn't be much of a problem to get there, but imagine you're stuck in an engineering pod thats grants you a (notso)comfortable 10 square meters, or 107 square feet, of living space. Now imagine that the return journey won't take the lightspeed time of 10 hours-ish; but will take 5 years there and back

My Review of "Mo Amer: The Vagabond
Mo Amer: The Vagabond had come out in 2018. I had heard of him before and I admittedly found some of his YouTube clips really funny. That's why I was shocked that I never got around to seeing this stand-up special. He's not a huge name in the comedy industry but he is a rising star right now. I can only see great things for him if he continues on his trajectory.

The War On Christmas
Day #1 My Dearest Sally, We landed our forces in the North Pole today, and met heavy resistance from the elves, who were firmly entrenched and waiting for our arrival with candied pecan machine guns, long ranged candy canes, and vicious snowmen. After nearly 12 hours of brutal combat, we managed to unwrap their brightly colored pill boxes and drive them back. Not before we lost "South Boston," though. He threw himself on a box of cordials to save the rest of the squad. I can still hear his last words echoing above the sound of various artist's recorded Christmas Carols, "Remembah me, you bahstahds!". He died a hero, covered in melted chocolate and cheap booze.

5 of Juhi Chawla's Best Comedy Performances
Although Juhi Chawla has proven her versatility time and again with both romantic and tragic roles, it's probably her comic timing that has received the most praise over the years. Salman Khan recently claimed she has "better comic timing than Charlie Chaplin"!
