You'll wonder why you haven't watched these sooner

If you've never watched anime before, you should give it a try! I recommend trying out humorous anime first. There is quite a large selection of hilarious anime you can choose from. These five anime will get you started to your addiction to anime!

5. The Disastrous Life of Saiki K.

The Disastrous Life of Saiki K.

Have you ever wondered what your life could be like if you could read people's thoughts? How about move objects with your mind, or teleport objects to another location? What about harness the elemental powers of fire, or have incredibly unrealistic strength? This anime gives you a glimpse into how chaotic your life would truly be, if you could do all those things. Kusuo Saiki was born with many incredulous super powers. His abilities are so vast, you would think he was a god. Many of the hilarious situations he gets himself into are so over the top, that they are ridiculously hilarious. I highly recommend this anime purely for it's comedic relief.

My rating: 5/5

All three seasons of this anime are available on Netflix and Funimation.

4. Back Street Girls: Gokudols

3. RobiHachi

RobiHachi

Robby Yarge is down on his luck. He runs into a peculiar guy named Hatchi Kita, one day at a fast food joint. Hatchi seems to not know what do with himself, or where to find a job. Robby tries to help him, and they go their separate ways. Robby owes several loan sharks large sums of money, and one of them has sniffed out the whereabouts. Robby and Hatchi become unusual friends. To escape the bounty hunters, they travel from planet to planet encountering strange situations. This anime is sure to keep you laughing until the end. The plot is quite nice as well.

2. Prison School

Prison School

Once an all girl prestigious private school, Hachimitsu Academy has become co-ed. Kiyoshi is one of five boys to enroll in this all girl academy. He's unaware of the secret underground council committee that exists within this schools system. A harsh, cold blooded, cruel council of the hottest babes! When the boys arrive, they concoct a mission impossible-esque plan to peep on the girls in the showers late one evening. When they are caught, they are sent to "prison", run by a brutal warden with huge breasts. Follow the every day toil of these prisoners, and watch their asses get kicked by the hot babe guards. This anime is hilarious, and you'll possibly pee your pants from the insane laughter.

My rating: 5/5

Season one is available subbed on Hulu and dubbed on Funimation.

1. Chio's School Road

Chio's School Road

Clocking in at number one is probably my favorite anime of all five listed. This anime starts out with Chio, a school girl waking up in the morning to go to school. As she's walking to school a series of very comical situations happen. Chio is a gamer (much like myself, I wonder if that's why I like it.. haha), and she has convinced herself that playing video games has "trained" her to be a badass in real life. She can do the impossible (like jumping from building to building), scare a biker gang into submission, and perform death defying acts of parkour. I truly love this anime, because it's relatable to females, hilarious, and has a good plot.

My rating: 5/5

Season one is available on Hulu, Crunchyroll, and Funimation.
