Chapter 79 begins with the fearsome fight between Vikir Van Baskerville, the night hound & the demon servant. At first Vikir thought that it was an Elite Corpse, but after seeing his power level he realized that it wasn't an Elite Corpse, it was a servant of the Demon. After realizing it he was pleased to fight the Demon servant, and decided to kill it.

The fight was very destructive, and Vikir easily defeated the Demon servant in the end. After defeating it, he found out the Demon servant's name is "Ephebo", and the night hound then began his interrogation. Vikir asked Ephebo about his master, but he figured out that the servant is being controlled, so it can't say anything. Vikir then decided to continue his interrogation in the other way, because normal methods were futile against Ephebo.

During the interrogation, Vikir noticed the poison seller under some concrete pillars, who luckily survived in this chaos. Vikir asked the poison seller to reveal everything he knows, if he desires to live, and the poison seller also agreed. While the poison seller started speaking, a mysterious figure appeared in the back who seemed to observe the situation secretly.

Vikir sensed the presence of that figure and turned back to check it, but the figure disappeared in a flash. While Vikir was off-guard, something devastating happened, the poison seller who just started talking blasted in the same way as others. The blast was very destructive and Vikir was caught in it off-guard. Afterward, while the knights & saintess checked the spot, the saintess accidentally found the night hound's mask, which is clear proof that he was affected in the explosion.
