General Hospital has gone through quite a number of cast changes in recent months. Dante and Jackie Templeton returned to Port Charles while Lulu was sent away to long-term rehab and Dev, Dustin, and Julian were killed off. Roger Howarth is out as Franco but is supposed to return as a different character and BLQ left town but has come back. There have also been some changes with the character of Marcus Taggert who was presumed dead but now is very much alive.

Fans were thrilled when Real Andrews reprised his role but now are curious as to why Asante Jones has stepped in twice for the popular actor. General Hospital devotees are concerned about the health of Andrews who previously had been dealing with Cancer. In December it was announced that the role of Marcus Taggert would be played temporarily by Asante Jones and fans thought that Andrews might be sick again. The actor had recently announced that he was found to be cancer free after his one year checkup and would soon be back on screen.

Andrews did not give a reason for his hiatus which left some fans wondering about his health. He returned to his role as Taggert but a few weeks ago viewers noticed that he did not look very well. On Tuesday, April 12 viewers were stunned to see Asante Jones was portraying the detective again. Now that he is back in the role some GH fans are concerned that the cancer may have returned and Real Andres might not be doing so well. Actors deserve their privacy and do not have to divulge anything to the public. When they go missing from popular soap roles it is only natural that their followers will be concerned.

The last tweet from the popular actor was one of motivation and calling his followers champions. He has not mentioned General Hospital at all. Soaps in Dept just ran an article telling General Hospital viewers not to be alarmed because Real Andrews will soon be back as Taggert. No explanation was given as to why he was replaced a second time or when he is expected to return. This will not stop curious viewers from trying to figure out what is going on. Things are beginning to heat up between Taggert, Jordan, Curtis, and Portia. On Tuesday Curtis and Jordan decided to end their marriage and Portia and Curtis gained some closure regarding their relationship.

Viewers and spoilers agree that these two couples are probably destined to switch partners. Curtis and Portia had an affair decades ago until Curtis broke it off after learning Portia was married. There is still speculation among some General Hospital fans that Trina will turn out to be the daughter of Curtis Ashford but right now that is not an issue. Curtis told his wife that he cannot handle the fact that she can be totally honest with Marcus but not him. Taggert admitted to Portia that he knew that she had an affair with Curtis and the two of them made amends with each other.

The door seems to be opening for Marcus and Jordan to cross that line from professional friendship to a romantic relationship. Portia and Curtis might pick up where they left off years ago. In then0 meantime, viewers are left wondering from week to week which actor they will see portraying the former Detective. The only detailed information on the Internet is from December when the role of Marcus Taggert was first recast.

If Portia and Curtis get back together and Marcus begins dating Jordan the sting of finding out that Trina belongs to Taggert will still be shocking, especially for the teen. Right now none of the characters involved are in any front burner storylines so it's not clear what will be next for any of them. They all were in agreement at one point about taking Cyrus Renault down but that seems to have been placed on the back burner. Be on the lookout for updates related to Taggert and his portrayers and as always thoughts and prayers go out to Real Andrews that he remains healthy and will soon be back on screen.
