Ranking the Strongest Alliances from The Challenge
They would never say each others names.
We have seen so many rivalries and friendships on The Challenge. Some people will turn their back on their partner so quickly like Sarah Rice and Johnny Bananas. Other will go through the mud together like Amanda Garcia and Ashley Mitchell. This will be a list ranking how strong the alliances are, not how good of friends they are.
Just Missed the List:
- Dee Nguyen & Ninja Natalie (Not Enough Seasons)
- Brain Candy (Friends Outside but Not Enough Seasons Together)
- Cara's Cult (Only 1 Season Together and They Lost)
10. Team Young Buck
Original Shows:
- Cory Wharton- The Real World: Ex-Plosion / Back to San Francisco
- Nelson Thomas- Are You The One? 3
- Hunter Barfield- Are You The One? 3
Team Young Buck is through and through. These three were trying to take over the game but unfortunetely only Hunter is a Challenge Champion and all of his prize money got stolen by Ashley Mitchell. We've seen Nelson volunteer himself on the last elimination of Total Madness so Cory didn't have to go in. They are #10 though because only Hunter has won.
9. Evelyn Smith & KellyAnne Judd
Original Shows:
- Evelyn - The Challenge: Fresh Meat II
- KellyAnne - The Real World: Sydney
These two met on The Island and instantly became close. They were Ride or Dies and it showed on The Ruins when Evelyn threw the elimination against KellyAnne so she could continue in the game. KellyAnne has done interviews after Battle of the Eras and said she is still close with Evelyn.
8. Big Brother Alliance
Members & Original Shows:
- Kaycee Clark - Big Brother 20
- Josh Martinez- Big Brother 19
- Faysal Shafaat - Big Brother 20
These three were helping run the game on Double Agents and Spies, Lies, & Allies. They are chaotic and usually fight with each other but they usually stick together and vote together. Only Kaycee has a Challenge Championship but the other 2 usually get pretty far.
7. Mean Girls Alliance
Members & Original Shows -
- Rachel Robinson- Road Rules: Campus Crawl
- Veronica Portillo - Road Rules: Semester at Sea
- Tina Bridges (née Barta) - Road Rules: South Pacific
These three were the most dominating alliance in early seasons. Veronica won 3 seasons and Rachel won 2. Rachel recently won her 3rd on Battle of the Eras. It was great seeing the reunion on Rivals 4.
6. Wes Bergmann & Nehemiah Clark
Original Show - The Real World: Austin
These two have been best friends since their days on The Real World: Austin together. Once they started on The Challenge it was Wes and Nehemiah vs Evan and Kenny. They even lived together during 2020.
5. Johnny Bananas & Leroy Garrett
Original Shows:
- Bananas - The Real World: Key West
- Leroy - The Real World: Back to Las Vegas
Bananas needed new friends when his besties, Evan Starkman and Kenny Santucci, were banned from the show. He immediately found Leroy Garrett. Bananas and Leroy just clicked instantly and have been friends ever since. There have been seasons where Leroy is targeted just because of his association with Johnny Bananas.
4. The Vacation Alliance

- Aneesa Ferreira - The Real World: Chicago
- Kaycee Clark - Big Brother 20
- Nany Gonzalez - The Real World: Back to Las Vegas
- Devin Walker-Molaghan - Are You The One? 3
- Faysal Shafaat - Big Brother 20
- Josh Martinez - Big Brother 19
The Vacation Alliance has been the runners of the show from Double Agents to Spies, Lies, & Allies to Ride or Dies. I know Josh Martinez is not in the picture but he is a part of it as well. Battle of the Eras was the first season that saw them really crumbl as other veteran challengers weren't playing with the nonsense. Kaycee Clark and Nany Gonzalez have recently broke up so I wonder how that will play out going forward.
3. JEK
Members & Original Shows:
- Johnny Bananas - The Real World: Key West
- Evan Starkman- The Challenge: Fresh Meat
- Kenny Santucci - The Challenge: Fresh Meat
These three became instantly close. They were powerhouses as Bananas won 4 seasons, Kenny won 3 seasons and Evan won 2 during this time. . They are still friends to this day even as this photo above was posted a few months ago. Kenny and Evan are banned from the show but it is interesting to think of what would have happened if they never got banned.
2. Jordan Wiseley & Tori Deal
Original Shows:
- Jordan - The Real World: Portland
- Tori - Are You The One? 4
These two were engaged at one point which would have taken them out of the friendship category but since their break-up they have become super close. I don't think they talk much outside of the show but they will NEVER say each others name on the show. Some proof is Ride or Dies and Battle of the Eras. You can say these two are too high but they got to the end of Dirty 30, War of the Worlds II, Ride or Dies, World Championship, and Battle of the Eras together. That's impressive.
1. The Lavender Ladies
Members and Original Shows:

- Amanda Garcia - Are You The One? 3
- Sylvia Elsrode - The Real World: Skeletons / Back to Chicago
- Shane Landrum - Road Rules: Campus Crawl
The Lavender Ladies are must see TV. This group met on Invasion of the Champions and shared a Lavender painted room. Amanda threw herself into an elimination on Final Reckoning so Ashley didn't have to go in. They will always have each others back through and through. I know some people are going to say why are they #1. The two seasons that all 4 of the members were on they have a Champion. It's Ashley both times but still. When all 4 of them are there it is almost impossible to beat them.

Day 4 of Quitting
If this is how sobriety feels, maybe it’s better to go through life a little buzzed… this, along with other hits like, I want to kill myself, I wish I was dead, and I’m going to throw myself off a bridge have been the only thoughts on rotation these past few days. This alliance ranking is interesting. Team Young Buck seems dedicated but only having one winner holds them back. Evelyn and KellyAnne's loyalty is impressive. The Big Brother Alliance sounds chaotic yet effective. Wonder how they'd stack up against each other in a head-to-head elimination? And what about the Mean Girls Alliance? How far did they get?
