On 'General Hospital' The Quartermaine mansion is filled with dysfunction again
Viewers are processing the new additions that are making the home a full house again.

After Jane Elliot left GENERAL HOSPITAL in 2017 the Quartermaine mansion was rarely shown. Viewers were disheartened when the house that once was filled with love and dysfunction was devoid of members of the Q clan. There were also changes to the home decor to make it seem more modern and fans continue to say the house has lost its charm. There are no longer photos of Edward, Lila, Alan, or other original Quartermaines and this troubles long time followers of the ABC soap.
Now right before our eyes, the mansion is filling up with zany Port Charles residents but. not many of them bear the family name. GENERAL HOSPITAL lovers never understood why Jason changed his name and continues today go by Morgan. Something is missing that will never return but in the meantime, viewers can either choose to roll with the punches or tune out.

Whether by blood or other connections those who are now under the Quartermaine roof are entertaining viewers. They are bringing love, laughter, and backstabbing to the place where GH lovers expect to see it the most. Ned Ashton changed his name to Quartermaine and married Olivia Falconeri who brought her son Leo, (by Julian Jerome) to the Q mansion. Liv has had quite a time learning the ways of her new family and understanding that Thanksgiving dinner will always be pizza.
Michael is Monica's grandson and he is living in the home his father AJ was raised in. He once changed his name to Quartermaine but it's not clear if he goes by that now or uses Corinthos. Michael's son Wiley Quartermaine Corinthos and his adopted mother Willow are living on the premises in a guest house. Ned's daughter Brook Lyn Quartermainereturned home, faking a pregnancy by Valentin who just moved into the big house with his daughter Charlotte.

Brook Lyn keeps more drama going than her grandma Tracy once did and adds some humor to situations. Monica shows up every now and again to announce to anyone who is listening that the home is hers because her late husband Alan gave it to her. On Wednesday's episode of GENERAL HOSPITAL, Valentin was walking around the guest wing only wearing a towel and walked in on an unsuspecting Olivia who was clearly rattled. Her screams and reaction to the news that Valentin had moved in was a classic Quartermaine moment.
When Ned asked why she was sleeping in the guest area, Olivia said she could not sleep in their bed since he moved out. On Wednesday when Chase begged Finn to allow him to leave the hospital Michael volunteered to allow him to live at the Quartermaine mansion. This is really going to be interesting because the detective does not know that Michael and Willow are deceiving him. Chase thinks Willow is in love with him and he believes they have a future.

The detective will be crushed when he finds out Michael and Willow are putting their relationship on hold as he is recuperating. He will understand how devastating Michael and Willow must have felt when he and Sasha played God with their lives by pretending to have an affair. GENERAL HOSPITAL viewers still don't know if Brook Lyn and Maxie will be able to pull off their scheme regarding baby Lu.
If BLQ is able to bring Maxie's baby home there will be lots of excitement in the Quartermaine home as Olivia and the others try to take over the child. The battle for controlling interest in ELQ has been a long time coming and fans are enjoying every minute of BLQ and Valentin's dilemma. it's not quite the same as when Monica, Alan, Tracy, and Edward were at war with one another but at least the writers are trying. Stay tuned to find out what happens next at the Q mansion.
