The GENERAL HOSPITAL rumor mill is buzzing about the surprise return of a cast member on Friday. On that day there will be a tribute episode for Sean Donely(or Donnelly) who will be mourned by his friends. The episode is really a tribute to John Reilly who portrayed the WSB agent who died at the beginning of this year. It is being suggested that Tony Geary will reprise his role as Luke Spencer but this has not been confirmed.

When the veteran actor retired from GENERAL HOSPITAL in 2015 he said he would never return and for 6 years he has kept his word with one exception. Tony Geary returned for one 60 second scene in 2017. This is when Jane Elliot who portrayed Luke's wife Tracy Quartermaine taped her final episode before retiring. Elliot has returned each year since then from Thanksgiving until after the first of the year.

Sean, Annie, and Luke.

Luke and Sean were great friends and had many adventures together. Fans are saying on social media they would love to see Anthony Geary return to reminisce about the good old days of chasing the Cassadines and espionage. There is nothing wrong with GENERAL HOSPITAL fans hoping to see Luke Spencer again but they should brace themselves for someone else to be the surprise return.

Both Cameron Matheson and Roger Howarth will be showing up soon as unknown characters. Matheson recently shared that he has just been tolod who he will be portraying but is not at liberty to share it with the fans. There is always a possibility no matter how slim that one of these men could be a recast of a popular Port Charles resident. There is also the chance that one of several other former GENERAL HOSPITAL characters could return. What viewers iewers know for certain is that Kristina Wagoner and Kimberly McCullough will be reprising their roles as Felicia Scorpio and Robin Scorpio Drake and Jackie Zeman will be on screen again as Bobbie Spencer.

GENERAL HOSPITAL fans know that John Reilly's daughter Caitlin will join the cast as Sean's daughter Annie. Nothing has been said one way or the other about Sharon Wyatt who portrayed Sean's wife Tiffany Hill so perhaps she might be the surprise guest. There is also a chance that Jack Wagoner, who played Frisco Jones might come back to his old stomping grounds. Wagoner returned for the 50th anniversary of the show during the Nurses Ball in 2013.

Robert, Frisco, Sean and Anna.

Frisco, along with Robert Scorpio and Sean battled the notorious Mr. Wu in the Asian Quarter. It was later revealed that Lab tech Brad Cooper is Wu's son but changed his name for obvious reasons. Sean, Robert, Frisco, and Luke had a number of escapades together so Jack Wagoner could possibly be the mystery return if Anthony Geary is not. GENERAL HOSPITAL fans are enjoying trying to figure it out but in a few days everything will be absolutely clear.

GENERAL HOSPITAL has been doling out the information regarding Friday's episode a little bit at a time. Viewers now know that Anna is going to Ireland after the news of Sean's death. She is trying to find a cure for the poison that Peter August gave Chase. She will see Sean's daughter Annie who is her goddaughter but who's to say, perhaps Luke Spencer might be there as well? There is only 24 hours left before the facts will be known. Let's hope the building is worth whatever will be revealed. Be sure to tune in Friday to find out who the special return actually will be, and continue to be on the lookout for updates.
