My Name is Lutta (Guardians Of Ga'Hoole)
Lutta tells Hoole who she truly is.

Sorry for not writing in a while, but here is a story that I know a lot of the Guardians of Ga'Hoole fandom will enjoy.
Lutta’s gizzard and she was now sure that it was a gizzard, her gizzard that was making her feel this way. Wanting to be with Hoole forever not for the power she would get, just to be with him forever as a mate. She didn’t know much about love, but she believed it had to do with being open and honest with the one that you love. Which is why she worked so hard to get Hoole alone with her in private and succeeded.
As she was let into the young king’s hallow by the guards. She drew her gaze to him, and away from the ember. Her original mission, But that was not her mission anymore, her mission was love.
“Hello Emerilla,” he greeted.
“Hello sir, I have something important I need to tell you, but I don’t think that you’ll like it.”
This earned her his full attention, something that she had been craving for moon cycles. “What could that be!?”
Wilfing, Lutta looked back at the ember, second-guessing if this was really a good idea.
“Emerilla, is something the matter? You’re wilfing is the news that bad,” his voice, was laced with concern.
The name felt like cracking ice in her ears. She fluffed herself back up and began.
“I have something to tell you about me. And I don’t think you’ll like it, but I need to tell you, I cannot live this lie anymore.” There was a pause and Hoole wondered if he should fetch Strix Strumajen, but he felt he needed to let her speak, and if he was honest with himself, he liked being alone with Emerilla, even the bad times. “I am not who I clame to be,” she took a breath, “my name is Lutta, not Emerilla and I am not even an owl.” The ember flickered in its case as silence hung in the hallow. Hoole remained silent as question after question went through his head but died before they reached his beak, he would let her finish telling her story.
“I am a changeling a creature of natchagan made by Kreeth, the hagsfiend of the ice narrows,” she seamlessly transformed into a barn owl, making it a slow transformation to be sure he saw it, then she slipped back into Emerilla. “I was sent here to bring her the ember, but I just want to be with you Hoole. I-I love you Hoole,” the last part was bearly a whisper.
“Do you know what happened to the real Emerilla?” to her dismay, he seemed to ignore her declaration of love.
She shook her head, “No, we just know that you’re looking for her and Kreeth saw it as an opportunity.”
“You said that you’re a changeling what exactly does that mean are you a hagsfiend?”
“I can be,” she started to shift into one but immediately decided against it, “I think that the egg that Kreeth stole was of great horned.” She met Hoole’s eyes. “I am nothing, and yet I-”
“No Lutta, you are most definitely not nothing,” he cut her off, “I’m not sure what you are or how much you were pretending but I know this you are definitely something.” the words joyously echoed in Lutta’s mind, as Hoole closed his eyes as he tried to think of how to react to all of this.
“You’re made of everything that I want to rid the world of, but I don’t want to be rid of you… I can tell that you gave up on your mission, I feel it in my gizzard. I have had feelings for you Lutta for a while now as well,” despite everything he churred slightly. The emotional warmth emitting from Lutta’s gizzard almost overwhelmed her.
“I think I have a solution. You can fly away from the tree and come back in a few days looking like a different spotted owl. With the amount of owls arriving at the tree at the moment, you would not be questioned and I belive that you disappearing again will be easier on Strix Strumajen than finding out that you’re impersonating her daughter.”
They followed the young king's plan, in the middle of the following day, she left in the guise of a hummingbird to avoid the notice of the guards, then after living in Silverveil for three nights, she returned to the tree, as Lutta, and fought in the battle of the short light and long night alongside the rest of the guardians. Although they were now seasoned warriors they were still too young to truly be mates, so they waited. Once they were mates it was revealed publicly what they both feared, they could not have chicks of their own. They had heirs by taking in the spotted owl eggs after the parents both died one in battle and the other of summer flux, they may not be of royal blood, but they would have to do.
