The holiday movies I remember from childhood probably aren't what you would consider 'holiday' movies like Frosty the snowman, or The Grinch that stole Christmas or Rudolph the red nose reindeer. I may not have even watched them at Christmastime, but I do now. I watch these movies every year because this is what I remember watching with my mother.

Yours, Mine and Ours
A widower with ten children falls for a widow with eight, and they must decide about forming a huge, unconventional family. Lucille Ball's performance in this movie is spectacular. While being her usual comedic self Lucille Ball also shows many glimpses of her dramatic acting chops as well. Henry Fonda is terrific as the straight lead mixing in strength with touching moments as a dutiful Husband and Father. When I was little my mother told me that I looked like the twin of "Philip North Beardsley". I thought that was fantastic because he was a boy!!!

With Six You Get Eggroll
With Six You Get Eggroll is a 1968 American romantic comedy film directed by Howard Morris and starring Doris Day, Brian Keith, Barbara Hershey, George Carlin, and Pat Carroll. It was the first film that was produced by the CBS Television Network's film unit, Cinema Center Films, and Day's final film performance. The title of the movie comes from a scene where the family goes out for Chinese food, and one of the kids notices that because they are a large group, they get something extra: "With six you get eggroll!" Initially, these two widowed people are tricked into a blind date and comedy ensues as they fall in love and marry, unprepared for the hostile reactions of their children. This movie is both comedy and has times of great sentiment as two families blend and bond together. The performances of the cast are superb! As you can see there are some great comedic actors like George Carlin and Jamie Farr which makes for a hilarious movie!!!

The Trouble with Angels
The Trouble with Angels is a 1966 American comedy film about the adventures of two girls in an all-girls Catholic school run by nuns. The film was the final theatrical feature to be directed by Ida Lupino and stars Hayley Mills (her first post-Disney film role), Rosalind Russell, and June Harding. These two high-spirited young students at St. Francis Academy keep things hopping for the challenged Mother Superior and her staff of bewildered Sisters. The cast includes Hayley Mills who was my personal favorite actress when I was a little kid because of the movie "The Parent Trap" which was also a fantastic movie!
