Meet Bluesy Burke, the new Charlotte on General Hospital

Valentin and Lulu's daughter is growing up and will be a handful.

Charlotte Cassadine has a new face

When General Hospital fans learned last week that Charlotte Cassadine was returning, it was assumed that Scarlett Fernandez would be back in the role. On Monday, it was Bluesy Burke who debuted as an older, more assertive version of the character.

Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) was also on screen, making demands of Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna). He wants to see his daughter in person in exchange for information about Dr. Henry Dalton's (Daniel Goddard) project.

Spoilers tease that Charlotte will also make demands and bargain for what she wants. Her exchange with Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havvins Bruener) let viewers know that she is going to be trouble.

Charlotte drove Scout Cain ( Cosette Abinante) from Lila's Kids camp to the Quartermaine mansion because she wanted to see her family. The good deed led to Lulu taking her daughter's car keys and grounding her for a month. So who is this new version of Lulu and Valentin's daughter?

Who is Bluesey Burke?

The 17-year-old Burke is the daughter of actor/musician Billy Burke, who is known for starring in the Twilight movies as Charlie Swan — the father of Bella, played by Kristen Stewart — as well as on the CBS drama Fire Country, among many other credits. Her mother, Pollyanna Rose, is also an actress. (Soap Opera Digest)

Don't confuse the young male actor with Billie Burke, who portrayed Glenda the good witch in The Wizard of OZ. They are not related.

Bluesy Larue Burke made her film debut as a baby with a cameo in one of her father's projects, the film Luster. She was also the inspiration for one of her dad's songs, “Bluesy LaRue,” released on the album Removed (2019). She has also appeared in Booksmart (2019) and Stone Cold Fox (Scheduled for release in 2025).

Charlotte may wreak havoc in Port Charles

Charlotte will be a pawn for Brennan, and Lulu is not going to want her to go to Steinmauer, but the teen will do anything to visit her papa. The head of the WSB will probably talk Lulu into allowing her daughter to go.

She is also going to bond with her brother, Rocco Falconeri (Finn Carr), and Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn). Danny, Scoutt, and Rocco love each other as brothers and sisters. Charlotte has not been in the loop, (at least not on screen) so it's possible she and Danny might crush on one another, which will only complicate the situation.

Scarlett Fernandez was last seen as Charlotte in March. No official reason has been given for why she did not return to General Hospital, but fans know her family moved to the Midwest. Fernandez has said in interviews that Charlotte was her faorite character to play and she will be missed by GH viewers.

Who besides Brenan will use Charlotte as leverage, and who will she manipulate to get her way? She spent a lot of time on the run with her father and let Lulu know she is capable of thinking for herself and surviving.

Charlotte let her mother know that she wants to do her own thing, but Lulu shut her down by saying, "Not yet." Charlotte has always been a handful and even bullied Aiden Weber (Colin Cassidy). She targeted Anna Deane (Finola Hughes) with threats so she should be watched carefully.

General Hospital viewers should be watching for updates related to Valentin and his daughter. The rumor mill suggests he might escape prison and exact some payback in Port Charles. Could they go on the run together again or will they be able to plant roots again? Stay tuned to learn what happens next.
