The Big Problem with 'The Big Bang Theory'
SPOILER ALERT: If you have not watched the premiere episode of The Big Bang Theory yet, turn back. You have been warned. After ten years of watching CBS’s award-winning comedy show The Big Bang Theory, here is my verdict. Fans want to watch Star Wars references, fights over comic book characters and cool scientific experiments. These things set the show apart from the other show in the genre. If the fans wanted to watch couple comedy, they could always watch other shows, or better watch Friends for the umpteenth time.

Ranking the Relative Evil of 'Pulp Fiction' Characters
Pulp Fiction isn’t necessarily strong on a central plot that ties the story together. It can almost be described as a movie about nothing — except with some serious degenerates. I prefer, a day in the life of a bunch of bad people, and after 23 years, I thought it’s time to rank the relative evil of these devilishly wonderful characters.

Movie Review: 'Norman: The Moderate Rise and Tragic Fall of a New York Fixer'
As a critic, it’s hard not to get tired of seeing the same kind of movie over and over again. Conventional three-act stories with stock heroes and predictable villains or simple romances with happy endings get tiresome after a while. It’s really nice to experience a movie with a different style, even if that movie isn’t entirely satisfying. The new movie Norman: The Moderate Rise and Tragic Fall of a New York Fixer is, at the very least, a nice departure from the norm.

H'ween Horrorthon: 'SAW' (2004)
"Live or die. Make your choice." Tobin Bell as Jigsaw. "Hello reader. I want to play a game". Right now, this blogger is forcing himself to relive the nightmare of watching a movie which, though praised by many for its originality and its raw verve, this blogger dismissed vehemently on account that while it had plenty of sick, shocking moments, it was not his cup of tea, even though he had subjected himself to every gross-out picture known to man. The film in question, was the first of its kind, where a serial killer decided to teach his victims the value of human life. It would be the first time a horror movie would give you front row seats to a carnival freak-show where victims would be tortured to death for sport—or rather, in this case, to see the bigger picture.

What's Going On with Jim Carrey?
I don't know of many people who didn't instantly fall in love with Jim Carrey early on in his comedy career. He always presented himself as kind of the wacky friend everyone has. You know the one. The one who can't behave himself in public? But why would you want him to? He's freaking hilarious!

Glorifying the Dead: Our Fascination with Zombies
Everywhere you look there are zombies. On TV, the silver screen, t-shirts, video games and even in our music as people gleefully sing and recreate the dance in Michael Jackson’s Thriller. There are cereal bowls, garden gnomes, bedding, house slippers, lunchboxes… almost any item you can imagine has been zombified. Zombies have become a part of our daily lives and were welcomed with open arms and the occasional moan. The question is why? What would be so appealing about a walking corpse? Is it possible that we as a culture tend to step within the grasps of zombies when in times of societal stress to deal with our biases, anger with our government and alienation, either self or otherwise imposed?
