I Am an Author
My first book I ever wrote and published was Trusting You, Trusting Me. It is a romance novel, but to me, it was more than just that. The girl in my book suffers from mental illness. She has so much anxiety, sadness, and anger; it makes her have this paranoia about everything that goes on in her life, but she soon finds love in an unexpected man who has trust issues because of his ex.

Bigfoot Ate My Baby
Alright. So Bigfoot didn't eat my baby. You were lured here. That's what tabloids use every day to suck us in. There was such a paper using headlines like this and it was a supermarket legend in its own right. The Weekly World News was available at every register in every supermarket, right next to The National Enquirer and The Star. Bigfoot was a sure thing to sell papers. Headlines like, "I was Bigfoot's Sex Slave," and "I had Bigfoot's Baby," are going to raise eyebrows. Of course, she had his baby, and she was his sex slave! Is this any different than the fact that Brangelina started breaking up the day after they were married? They had to break up, it was written in The Star. One of The Weekly World News most popular articles is a 2009 bit entitled "How to Sell Your Soul to the Devil." While no longer on newsstands, they are now an e-zine. Part of a well-rounded childhood, you know scaring them half to death, will not be available at the supermarket. You would have to download it for them. What a loss. Parents and children can't have that talk explaining the headline, "Kate Middleton was NOT a Virgin." They can't even begin to enlighten them about how that woman had Bigfoot's baby, or the Israeli merpeople, the six-inch alien, or what the plan is for the alien attack coming in December.

Anime Review: 'Violet Evergarden' (2018)
Violet Evergarden takes place on the continent of Telesis where a civil war was fought for years. There is practically no one that you will meet in this series who wasn't impacted by the war in some way or another. The first episode begins in a quiet hospital where a blonde girl is recuperating from injuries she sustained in one of the final battles of the war. She expects her direct commander to be waiting for her when she is finally discharged but instead she is greeted by a different officer.

Is John Krasinski’s Hit Horror Piece ‘A Quiet Place’ Secretly Sexist?
The new horror flick, A Quiet Place, was more than first-time director, John Krasinski, of The Office fame, could have ever hoped for. Scoring a whoping 95% on Rotten Tomatoes, the film has earned its rank among the latest mainstream horror hits like Get Out. But underneath all the success and fame, one element of the film has been missed: it could easily be deemed sexist for its celebration of the traditional family.
