The Hero We Deserve: 10 Actresses Who Could Play Batwoman in the Arrowverse
Just a couple of days ago the star of Arrow himself, Stephen Amell, confirmed in an interview that Batwoman will be introduced in the next Arrowverse crossover, and fans couldn't be more excited. Batwoman is one of the most popular characters in comics and one of the most underrepresented characters in other media, meaning that her live-action debut is one of most exciting additions to the Arrowverse in recent memory. While she's likely to only be a one-time guest star, there are still a handful of big actresses who would want to don the cowl in such an anticipated arrival, and I think I have a few likely candidates for the role.

5 Books That Will Make You Cry
I love when a book makes me cry. There's something about having so much empathy for a character that you become physically emotional that's really special. It's cleansing and it's utterly human. When a book makes me cry, I know it's good because I've connected with the characters enough and been emotionally moved enough that I have a physical reaction. So, here are five books that made me cry, and that'll make you cry too.

'The Lion King' in London
A visit to London is not complete without an expensive coffee from an "on fleek" cafe and cheeky trip to the West End for a show. If you're anything like me, there is always a long list of shows you want to see, but when time and budget are limited, there are a few classics that you just refuse to miss. For me, one of those shows has beenThe Lion King.

She Definitely Doesn’t Need You Anymore
Most people know that conflict is a heavily defining part of life; this is one thing that goes without saying. From arguing with a parent over curfew to disagreeing with the way a coworker accomplishes tasks or having to continually remind your housemate to take care of chores, everyone has encountered conflict. While conflict in itself isn’t bad, the way people handle it determines whether the effect is positive or negative. Much like in real life, in literature, conflict is essential. It is the base on which all other aspects of the story branch from, and without conflict there would be no plot line, which would result in having nothing interesting to read. In Kate Chopin’s “Story of an Hour”, there are multiple important conflicts, and while none of them are in established usage for that era, they all make the story a story.

'Cobra Kai': No Mercy After 34 Years
Hello, and welcome back to Second Chances. Now, normally this column is about giving another shot to a piece of pop culture that was maligned or forgotten the first time around. However, this time, it's the subject itself that is taking a second chance. That is a big trend lately with reboots and unexpected sequels to nostalgic favorites popping up all over the place. A lot of them revolve around new generations of characters as shown with movies like Creed which has Rocky Balboa training a new boxer and TV shows like Fuller House which largely recycles the premise of its parent series. While the nostalgic reboots have mostly ranged from "fun but pointless" to "annoying and pointless," the biggest, most pleasant surprise came not from the theaters or TV but from the mostly ignored YouTube Red subscription service. Cobra Kai kicks the Karate Kid franchise back into the spotlight and was one of the best binge-watching experiences I had in a long time.

What's Next for the Man of Steel?
Ok, so if you're a diehard DCEU fan like me (meaning you like MOS and BvS and not only WonderWoman), there's a good chance that you weren't blown away by Justice League. Yes, the film accomplished what it set out to do, namely unite the core members of the league and also bring Superman back from the grave to join his costumed cohorts in time to save the world. I enjoyed the film for what it was (a straight-forward superhero action film), but I still find myself feeling shortchanged by the thought of what this team up of DC's greatest heroes should've been: an epic cinematic masterpiece. The film's weak box office performance is proof that studios need to let their directors make the films they set out to make rather than forcing them to readjust their films in a desperate attempt to mimic another, massively popular comic book film universe (which shall remain nameless).

Stopping by Stars Hollow: A Critic’s First Watch of 'Gilmore Girls' - Season 1, Episode 5
Season 1, Episode 5: “Cinnamon’s Wake” Do I like Mr. Madina? Yes. Do I like Lorelai and Mr. Madina together? Yes. Can I not wait to see how this blows up horribly? Hell. Yes.

Atlanta's "FUBU" Episode: What's Up with Denisha?
The "FUBU" episode of Atlanta was a large topic of conversation after it aired. The episode told a lot of truths; it discussed tag checking, bullying, difficulties faced by teachers/school administrators, etc. It also answered a lot of questions about the relationship dynamic between Earn and Al. For example, the audience learns that Al has been bailing Earn out of difficult situations since their adolescence, which makes their conversations in both the series premiere and the season finale make much more sense.

The Main Man's Movie: 10 Actors Who Could Play Lobo in the DCEU. Top Story - May 2018.
News has broke that the fan favorite intergalactic mercenary Lobo is set to have his own solo movie directed by Michael Bay, and loyal followers of the DC Universe couldn't be more ecstatic. Lobo isn't just one of the most powerful characters in DC Comics lore, he's one of the funniest and most insane, and that could make for a movie that rivals the likes of Deadpool. No matter how good or bad the movie will be, the fact remains that you need the right person to bring Lobo to life, and I think I have a few choices that might fit the bill.
