Will Aquaman Be the Worlds of DC’s Black Panther?
In the trailer for Warner Bros.' and James Wan’s Worlds of DC movie Aquaman, fans noticed some similarities to Marvel Studios' and Ryan Coogler’s MCU movie Black Panther. With similar imagery, themes, and villainess motivations, it’s not hard to draw comparisons between the two films. Both movies feature superheroes who would be kings, advanced civilizations, and family members who seek to take control of said civilizations and use their resources to wage war on the rest of the word.

We Need to Talk About Daisy Buchanan and Why She’s the Worst
Let me start this off with a quick disclaimer: I know I’m going to get hate for making such a bold statement. I know this because nearly everyone, nay—every female I’ve ever come across who has read or seen The Great Gatsby LOVES Daisy—whether it’s for her fashion, speech pattern, or simply because Carey Mulligan’s performance was so convincing. With that said, if you like Daisy, then you like Daisy. That’s awesome. Cool. Great. I used to like Daisy Buchanan, but the more I fell in love with her the more I began to realize that she’s a trash human.

Must Have Emergency Kits to Survive a Zombie Apocalypse
I’m always telling my son Jarret: humanity isn’t prepared for climate change. Too much of the world is already Children of Men and there’s a chance we’re going to end up in The Road. If that happens, Jarret knows he's going to need to steal emergency kits. They will be the new currency. They’re packaged with everything you need to survive but they’re made to be portable. Nothing else is built that way. Jarret just says, “Dad, that’s not going to happen,” and then I say, “That’s exactly what they said about President Sex Criminal.” And then Jarret tells me to stop texting him links about emergency kits and to stop telling him Children of Men is already happening.

Sam Raimi's Spider-Man Changed My Life
In kindergarten, I was somewhat of a problem child, if only in the way that everyone is when they’re five years old. I had already had several confrontations with a particular student due to my hyperactive imagination when, one day, I decided to follow this certain troublemaker around the playground and investigate. It seemed like the right thing to do at the time. Obviously, at the end of recess, like any normal person would, this student told the teacher that I was stalking them. When the teacher asked me why I was following around this poor girl the entire time we were supposed to be playing, I broke down into tears. I explained it in the simplest way I knew how: one day, I was going to grow up to be a superhero, and she would be the supervillain, and I was going to kill her.

Cosplayer Spotlight: SLC Green Arrow
Texx-Man Cosplay: How long have you been a cosplayer and how did it change your life? SLC Green Arrow: Well, I’ve been cosplaying classic Ollie since September of 2016, but growing up in San Diego, we would go to SDCC every summer and dress up every day. It wasn’t really cosplay back then, just something you did for Comic Con.

A Review of 'Weapon X #1-20'
I've managed to catch up to Greg Pak's run on Weapon X that features the Batch H storyline and a crossover with Totally Awesome Hulk, which is also written by Greg Pak. Many fans seem to not like Pak's take on some of the characters like Sabretooth. Many felt that Sabretooth was acting out of character. I felt that the first two to three story arcs were not my favorite, but I did enjoy reading them nonetheless. The Weapon X team consists of Old Man Logan, Sabretooth (Victor Creed), Warpath (James Proudstar), Lady Deathstrike, and Domino. Having Old Man Logan, who we will now refer to as Logan, on a team with Sabretooth (basically his arch-nemesis) and Lady Deathstrike (another one of Wolverine's prominent villains) is a dream come true for me. The roster is definitely what caught my attention in the first place. I will be honest, I like Greg Pak's writing style, but I felt that it didn't match the story. It could be that Pak has written the Hulk or Hulk-related titles over the last few years and didn't really know how to write the characters in Weapon X? I do, however, feel as the title reached its more recent issues, it began to improve quite a lot. Another factor that kept me reading was the possible chaos that would result from the story.
