Kristina Wagoner opens up about return to General Hospital
The actress shares why she was not at Maxie's wedding to Peter and admits she has some catching up to do with the cast and storylines.

Kristina Wagoner shares her truth
Kristina Wagoner fans are delighted that she has returned as Felicia Scorpio on General Hospital after a long hiatus. The actress recently opened up to Soaps in Depth regarding her current situation and says she is happy to be back on the ABC soap that launched her career in 1984. She added that once you have been on GH you are there till death do you part.
This is not necessarily true as many actors have come and gone from the show never to return. It has also been reported that in the past the actress had contract issues with GH that kept her from returning to the soap. Some of her followers were certain that she would never be seen in Port Charles again. Even so, her enthusiastic sentiment will be understood by her devoted fans.
Over the decades, Wagoner has come and gone from General Hospital quite a few times and once was replaced with actress Sandra Ferguson. During the SOD interview, she answered a question that has been on the minds of many GH viewers for quite some time. Wagoner explained why her character did not attend the wedding of her daughter Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) to Peter August (Wes Ramsey).
General Hospital has been affected by COVID in more ways than one
Wagoner says that she did not return to General Hospital for the wedding of Maxie and Peter in 2021 because of COVID-19 which is yet another toll the disease has taken on the ABC daytime drama. Steve Burton (ex Jason Morgan) tested positive for the coronavirus and says he was infected on the GH set. Burton was later fired along with Ingo Rademacher (Jasper Jax Jacks) because both men refused to be vaccinated for religious reasons.
Kelly Thiebaud (Britt Westbourne) had to quarantine for 10 days after what she says was a false positive COVID test. Kelly Monaco (Sam McCall) was sent home for 14 days to rest after her claustrophobia kicked in due to wearing a mask while taping scenes under the glaring lights. At this same time, spoilers were reporting that two General Hospital actresses had tested positive and many fans assumed Monaco was one of them. Her mother reassured everyone via socila media that this was not true.
Nancy Lee Grahn (Alexis Davis) spoke out supporting ABC's coronavirus rules and seemed to be bashing Rademacher. This caused irate fans to call for her firing. Rademacher Carolyn Hennesy (Diane Miller) went on social media to defend Burton and seemed to throw shade on Grahn. Wagoner returns to a soap in chaos but she seems upbeat and expecting the best.
Kristina Wagoner has some catching up to do
Kristina was obviously not watching General Hospital while she was away as she admitted that she had to catch up on what's happening in Port Charles. She told SOD that she was not familiar with current storylines and did not know many of the newer actors on the show. She admits she utilized the Internet to find out information that would bring her up to speed.
One of the castmates she probably needed details on would be (Peter August) Wes Ramsey and all the dirt he has done and the lives he has ruined since coming to Port Charles. It is Peter's actions that have her on-screen daughter Maxie and her good friend Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) in their predicaments. Wagoner's fans have no doubt that she will settle into life in Port Charles once again and the writers could help her along.
Felicia needs to interact with more people than Maxie, Anna, and Mac Scorpio (John J York) and Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers). Hopefully, she will become involved in storylines outside of her immediate family and friends which is the best way to make Wagoner's transition back into daytime much smoother.
