Episodes 4 to 8: Orange Town arc

For this arc to only be 5 episodes they sure did fit a lot in. We meet a new crew of pirates with their psycho leader Buggy. He is the first character besides Luffy we have met who has received powers from eating a devil fruit. Now seeing Buggy in the anime, I think the buggy they cast in the live-action One Piece was perfect. They are both twisted and selfish and always need the spotlight on them, He is a great villain. I hope Buggy gets more screen time both in the anime and the second season of the live-action.

We now have discovered more about Nami and her character. We don't know her full story yet, but we know she is focused on her goal and will backstab anyone to get there. We don't know why her motive is so strong yet but we see her morals put to the test when she is asked to blow up Luffy with a cannon.

Luffy and his crew of just one, are starting to build a reputation. Pirates underestimate them, The Marines want to capture them, and the people appreciate them for freeing their town and showing them that they are a different kind of pirate.

As many people did, I started my Studio Ghibli addiction with the famous spirited away. After watching that masterpiece I was HOOKED! I had to hunt down and watch every movie they created. The creator of most of the films Hayao Miyazaki brought a breathtaking world to our TVs. Every story is unique, and when you rewatch them another meaning comes to light. Character development is in each movie, with strong female leads. Heart-stopping art will make you want to be teleported into the wonderful world of Studio Ghibli.

The Man, the Myth, the Legend

I’d like to thank Hayao Miyazaki and Studio Ghibli. They brought worlds to life that have filled me and countless others with joy. You have inspired me to chase after my passions and never let anything stop me. When I find my true purpose it will be impossible for me to stop, just like Hayao can’t seem to stay in retirement. From the bottom of my heart, I appreciate the work that went into each film and I am looking forward to more films to come.
