Hunter King blackout baffles fans of THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS
The actress has not addressed her rumored departure from the CBS soap and neither have her castmates. Viewers are wondering what's up and if she is even leaving.

About 6 weeks ago the rumor mill suggested that a prominent female soap star was leaving her role. When Summer Newman left Genoa City on THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS and moved to Italy many fans believed her portrayer Hunter King was walking away from the role. A short time later Michael Mealor who portrays Kyle Abbott was rumored to be exiting the CBS soap and his castmate Jason Thompson went public saying he would miss his nephew. A few days later Mealor himself confirmed he was leaving but Hunter King has remained silent.
SOAP DIRT points out that not only has the actress not addressed her departure in the press but neither has she commented on Instagram or Twitter. The spoiler is suggesting that perhaps negotiations picked back up and that THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS and King have come to some sort of agreement. It's possible that Hunter has decided to stay on the CBS soap but that would indicate a recast for Kyle. Y&R execs have given no official statement related to Mealor or King so fans are left to speculate.
Michael Mealor has taped his last scenes for THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS and the way the storyline is going he will probably be gone by mid-August. At this present time, Summer has only been shown briefly while in Italy and no one has announced if or when Hunter King taped her final show. This is an awkward situation and as of right now no other soap star has left the show where she works. This is why most are assuming that the blind item about a female soap vet leaving is believed to have been referring to King.
Could King herself or THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS have issued a gag order and is this the reason no one is commenting on Hunter's alleged departure? Neither CBS, castmates nor the actress herself is saying anything. Michael Mealor did not mention King when he admitted he was leaving the sop and It's also curious that Jason Thompson said he will miss Mealor but did not mention Hunter at all. This has some fans wondering just like Soap Dirt if perhaps the actress is remaining on the show.

THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS seems to be speeding things up and Sally and Tara will be exposed any day. Kyle and Jack are suspicious and Phyllis will obtain evidence on Monday that should make Sally shake in her shoes. Ms. Summers will go to LA and visit with Eric Forrester and Angelina Marchetti. She will find out that Sally is the one who was pushing for Summer to get the job in Milan. Jack. Nick, Amanda, and Kyle all kept telling the redhead that she has no proof of her accusations but on Monday she will get what she needs.
Phyllis will take a selfy with Eric and Angelina and send a copy to Sally. Ms. Spectra will be floored and realize that she was no match for Phyllis Summers. Sally was warned but thought she could outwit the older more experienced, woman. Y&R viewers who also watch THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL know that Sally never came out on top with her schemes while in LA. She copied Forrester designs and was busted passing them off as her own. She faked a terminal illness in an attempt to get Wyatt Spencer away from Flo Fulton. Once she was exposed she left LA and moved to Genoa City.

Jack has dumped Sally twice because of her lies and now she may lose her job with Lauren once Phyllis puts her on blast for interfering in Summer's life. THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS viewers have been puzzled as to why Summer simply rolled over and allowed Tara and Sally to walk all over her. She had been bold and self-assured when trying to win Kyle back from Lola. As the sands run out of the hourglass on this storyline Skyle fans are hoping the couple will get a happy ending. As long as Hunter King remains silent no one knows what is going to happen but at some point. the facts will have to be revealed so stay tuned for updates
