Grace Kelly Rocked Out Jimmy's Jazz and Blues Club
Grace Kelly is a genuine firecracker of driven passion and talent.

“I will not let the blues take me.” - Grace Kelly
Grace Kelly’s vibrant and magnificent talents rocked out in a night of saxophone expertise and vocal delights at Jimmy’s Jazz and Blues Club in Portsmouth, New Hampshire.
If you don’t know who Grace Kelly is, she is a multitalented musician, singer, and songwriter who has played the saxophone since childhood. I first saw Kelly in her concert, ‘Grace Kelly with Strings At the Movies,’ at the Regent Theatre last year, and ever since, I have followed her music.
Kelly is a genuine firecracker of driven passion and talent. Entering the stage performing the theme from the James Bond movies, she dedicated the evening to uplifting audiences with several songs, from original material to movie soundtracks.
“Music is a powerful expression,” Kelly said, after receiving a warm, welcoming round of applause from the audience. In my journey as an entertainment reviewer, I have come to admire music more. Music expresses stories and conveys emotional resonance.
The whole theater was filled with excited attendees. A good number of audience members revealed they had been to one of her concerts before. She gave a shoutout to Jimmy’s Jazz and Blues Club, calling it a cool spot.
Kelly made attendees let go of their bad energy and enjoy the night. “Leave all those thoughts somewhere else and give yourselves a round of applause for being here!”
She performed numerous songs throughout the night, switching from saxophone to singing with her rich vocals. Her saxophone playing is beyond expertise, exhibiting tricks and beautiful melodies.
One of her original songs was a resonating piece. Lyrics that stood out to me were, ‘we’re all trying to figure it out,’ and ‘do the best you can.’ Another lyric was, “I will not let the blues take me.” Songs like these are what we need right now. Take each day one day at a time and go easy on yourself. We can only do so much, and we’re the most important.
Kelly never upstages anybody. She gave full spotlight to her talented band members on the piano, guitar, and drums.
Her spirit and energy radiated off her. She danced up the stage, showcasing her impressive saxophone skills and doing hairflips. Kelly is truly an example of a performer who loves what she does. Traveling is in her blood, as she treks to many locations to perform. In 24 hours after the concert in New Hampshire, she was performing in Spain!
One of my favorite aspects of Kelly’s performance is her stories. She loves telling stories about her childhood and how her passion ignited her dreams. Another reason why I was drawn to Kelly’s work is her passion for movies.
The finale of her concert was dedicated to several Disney songs. Her passion poured out of every measure, performing familiar Disney songs from The Jungle Book, The Little Mermaid, and 'Circle of Life' from The Lion King.
The concert was not over yet. As an encore, Kelly performed an amazing rendition of ‘The Power of Love.’ The whole club became a party when Kelly walked into the audience and danced with individual people. The smiles and excitement that radiated from people’s faces were magnificent! Her proud parents were also there.
My full gratitude goes to Jimmy’s Jazz and Blues Club for a separate virtual option to see Kelly’s concert. Even though I was sitting at home watching the concert on the couch, I still felt like I was there. Kelly brought a night of fun, entertainment, and joy to New Hampshire. Her concert experiences are something to witness for her undeniable passion for the arts.
