General Hospital Spoilers: Victor Cassadine is about to receive one of the greatest Villian sendoffs ever
Charles Shaughnessy's words suggest his character is about to make his exit from Port Charles

Victor Cassadine's reign of terror is coming to a close
Not every General Hospital fan agrees but Charles Shaughnessy's version of Victor Casadine might just be the best portrayal of a supervillain ever. Kudos to the writers for giving him such excellent material and a tip of the hat to the actor for such a brilliant performance that has fans laughing and angry at the same time. Viewers have been laughing even as they are also horrified by the way Uncle Victor conducts business and shows no mercy on anyone. Soaps.com is reporting that the Cassadine patriarch's reign of terror may soon come to an end based on Shaughnessy's recent tweet.
Well, I am both honored and humbled! Thank you. I have been so grateful for such a fun, meaty role and the writers @GeneralHospital are giving Victor one of the greatest Villain send-offs I can remember!
Victor is dashing and sinister all at once and he never breaks stride. He gave no thought to shooting Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) at point-blank range in front of his son Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stewart) the same way he shot Holly Sutton's (Emma Samms) twin Paloma. He threw Deputy Mayor Eileen Ashby (Heather Mazur) over a bridge to her death as if she were nothing more than a piece of trash and now is holding Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chaves) and his baby brother Ace hostage along with Liesl Obrecht (Kathlene Gati).
General Hospital fans react to Shaughnessy's tweet
Replies from fans to Shaghnessy's statement included:
ChIt is certainly a well-deserved honor, and I certainly hope we have not seen the last of you as Victor Cassadine on GH. Have loved every one of your scenes with every character you interacted with.
Congratulations! Victor is lethally charming & funny. Thanks to the explosive emotions you displayed, he threw that away this past week confronting Valentin & Anna. He showed a remnant of sadness before he unleashed his rage on both for deceiving him. Such great range!
I’m going to miss you, Charles. Victor is a charming Villain. I love it when he’s smiling and threatening someone. He’s hilarious.
Victor might return to Port Charles someday
Shaughnessy said "Send-off" and did not indicate his character would die so perhaps we will see him again. General Hospital tapes about 6 weeks in advance so it sounds like Victor's days are numbered. Curtis Ashford has the coordinates to locate the Haunted Star but Victor has at least 4 of his henchmen on board. Hopefully, Obrecht will return to Port Charles in time to save WillowTait's (Kathleen MacMullen) life, and Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) and Spencer can finally begin a true romance.
Laura Collins(Genie Francis recalled that the Cassadines have a compound in Venezuela and Celeb Dirty Laundry says this is where Holly will be looking for her son Ethan Lovett (Nathan Parsons) so it sounds like Victor might make it to his destination. Constance Townes will be reprising her role as Helena Cassadine in May but will she be returning from the dead or appears a ghost to vex her evil brother-in-law?
Charles Shaughnessy's fans don't want to see him go but Victor has done too much damage to Port Charles residents and his own family to stick around much longer. General Hospital is certainly bringing on the drama and sitting-on-the-edge-of-your-seat episodes so make sure you don't miss any of the action. Be on the lookout for spoiler alerts, updates, and breaking news related to what type of send-off "Heir Cassadine will be given and whether or not Helena will be involved. It sounds like whatever happens will definitely be worth the wait.
