General Hospital: The Ashford family needs counseling

General Hospital viewers have been waiting for the other shoe to drop where Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) is concerned. Fans believe that Trina Robinson (Sydney Makayla) is his daughter and that Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) was about to tell him right after she was rescued from the basement that was filled with gas. The current situation for Ashford has now shifted towards a different family dynamic as his allegedly dead father Marshall Ashford (Robert Gossett) has shown up in Port Charles.

Curtis is now in a unique situation where his entire life may be proven to be a lie. He could find out that he has had a daughter for 18 years that he was not allowed to raise as well as dealing with a father who was absent until now. Some General Hospital fans also believe that it may come out that Aunt Stella Henry (Vernee Watson) is the mother and not the aunt of Curtis.

Marshall Ashford has secrets

Marshall continues to be vague and Curtis wants nothing to do with him. Stella on the other hand keeps advising her nephew to hear hsi dad out. Marshall alludes to some type of danger but there is no indication as to what it is or who is behind it. He seems to know all the details of the Ashford family as he mentioned that TJ Ashford (Taj Bellow) is not his grandson by blood. This family is a tangled mess and needs sorting out but the answers may not come right away.

Jordan Ashford was married to Marshall's son Tommy who was best friends with Shawn Butler (Sean Blakemore). Jordan and Shawn had an affair and the two men ended up in an altercation. Shawn killed Tommy in self-defense and later it was revealed that TJ was Shawn's son. Stella was judgmental about the entire situation so imagine the ramifications if indeed Curtis is her son.

The story that was told was that Marshall died of a heart attack but Stell's reaction to seeing him brings up questions. She wondered how and why he had shown up but did not seem all that surprised. He was happy to see her and told her how good she looked and even thanked her for raising his family. Viewers are wondering if Stella and her sister lied about Marshall and if she knew all along that he was alive?

Curtis Ashford may find himself living in an alternate reality

Curtis might just find out that his aunt is his other and his girlfriend's daughter is his own. Whatever trouble Marshall is in could have followed him to Port Charles and will cause problems for everyone in the Ashford family. Marcus Taggart (Real Andrews) has not been around in a while and the last time he was mentioned he was staying at Jordan's home. Ashante Jones stepped into the role a few times but now neither man has been seen in quite a while.

If Trina turns out to belong to Curtis this will destroy Taggart and will probably end the relationship that Portia has with Curtis because of this deception. There is also the fact that Stella took the divorce papers from Jordan's outbox and they never were filed which means Curtis and Jordan are still husband and wife. There are a lot of irons in the fire where this family is concerned and its time that some of the issues are resolved. Curtis could end up estranged from Portia, Stella, and Marshall but at least he will have Trina if indeed she is his child.
