General Hospital: Selina Wu may face the wrath of Sonny

Manic Sonny

There are a lot of irons in the fire on General Hospital right now where Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Bernard) is concerned. He is off his meds and increasingly displaying manic behavior. He dug a path in the snow without gloves and wanted his young daughters to play outside in the freezing temperatures. He went to the Savoy and demanded that Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) sell the establishment to him.

Drew Cane (Cameron Mattheson) tried to smooth things over and Sonny said some pretty harsh things to him. Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) walked out on her husband and is living in her hotel the Metro Court. She asked for space but Sonny is finding it hard to give it to her. He is still dealing with his feelings for Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) and got into a fight with Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) at Charlie's Pub.

Peter August continues to be a problem

In the midst of it all there is an elephant in the room that has yet to be addressed. Selina Wu (Lydia Look) failed in her attempt to murder Peter August but Sonny has yet to mention this snag in his plans. Look went to Singapore during the holidays to visit her mother but should be back taping scenes soon. Her character will have to answer at some point for the failed attempt on Peter's life.

General Hospital fans are wondering which Sonny she will encounter when she returns to Port Charles. Spoilers have teased that Nina will get him help so he might be back on his prescription medication by the time Wu shows up. If not she might have to deal with the same attitude that Curtis and Drew dealt with. Sonny could be in his Mike mode and offer some understanding of the situation but he will still want Peter dealt with.

Sonny could be back to normal and demand to know what happened and ask Selina to try again and this time get it right. Peter is alive and well in General Hospital and trying his best to keep from going to prison. Victor has just figured out that Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Seltzer) is raising the daughter Peter had with Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) and might make a deal with Faison's son.

Will Selina be able to eliminate Peter?

Victor wants the information on how to control Drew and turn him into his operative. Peter has promised to reveal this information if the Cassadine patriarch can deliver his baby Louise to him. It seems as though Peter is going to be around for a while and eventually Sonny and Selina will have to have that talk. This is a sticky situation because Selina used her nephew Brad Cooper (Parry Shen) to poison Peter in jail.

Brad has shared this information with his BFF Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) who is Peter's half-sister. It's possible General Hospital will sweep this aspect of the saga under the rug and keep the focus on Maxie's baby but sooner or later Ms. Wu must answer to Sonny for not following through with her part of the deal. Sonny kept his promise to not interfere with Brad being released from prison so Selina owes him.

Brad is terrified of his aunt and shared with Britt that people who cross Wu often go missing. There is also another threat to Sonny that he is unaware of. Jennifer Smith (Holly Gragier) returned to Port Charles for Luke's memorial service and witnessed Sonny seeming out of sorts. Smith made a phone call and told the person on the other end that she did not think Sonny would be a problem for whatever plans this individual has for Port Charles. Jason is dead and Sonny's family drama is taking up a lot of his time. It will be interesting to see how all of this works itself out but at some point, Selina will have to acknowledge her failure and may have to try again. Brad does not desire to work for his aunt but may not have a choice. Be on the lookout for updates to General Hospital to find out what happens between Selina Wu and Sonny Corinthos.
