Carlo Rota and Nazneen Contractor are married

Law enforcement officials in close friendships or romantic relationships with mobsters is common on General Hospital. Two relatively new characters ADA Justine Turner (Naznene Contractor) and Jenz Sidswell (Carlo Rota) are on opposing sides of the law when it comes to a popular mobster, and are husband and wife in real time.

The last time a real-life couple was on GH was when Laura Wright's (Carly Spencer) boyfriend Wes Ramsey was portraying Peter August. During the 1980s, Kristina Wagner ( Felicia Scorpio) and Jack Wagner (Frisco Jones) dated and married on-screen and off.

Rota and Contractor have been married for 15 years since April 2010, and have two children, a son and a daughter. You would not know by their names that they are husband and wife because women today do not always take their spouse's last name. This is especially true with celebrities.

Sonny takes center stage

Rota and Contractor's GH characters are both seeking a way to take down Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard). ADA Turner wants to do things by the book, while Sidwell resorts to more drastic measures.

The characters have not spent any quality time together on screen except at the GCPD, when Marco Rios (Adrian Anchondo) lied that Sonny did not have him kidnapped.

Getting to know Nazneen Contractor

Contractor joined the ABC soap at the end of 2024, and Rota initially became a cast member in August of the same year. He returned in November, but Sidwell and Truner are not interacting with one another. The couple worked together on the TV series Ransom and Relic Hunter.

They also worked on different seasons n the television series 24. Carlo played Morris O'Brian in seasons 5-7, and Nazneen portrayed Kayla Hassan in season 8.

Contractor, a Canadian actress, was born August 26, 1982, in 8ombay to Parsi parents. The family moved to Nigeria when she was 7 and eventually settled in Toronto, where she spent most of her childhood and young adulthood.

She is known for her role as Layla Hourani on CBC's The Border, Zara Hallam on Ransom, and as Kayla Hassan on 24. She also guest-starred in the Letterkenny International Women’s Day special as Professor Tricia.

Carlo Rota is well-traveled and versatile

Rota is a versatile actor who has portrayed Muslim, Hispanic and Jewish characters. He was born in London, to Canadian parents, on April 16, 1961. He has lived in Hong Kong, the UK, and the Bahamas. He has appeared in television series including 24, Queer as Folk (US version), Castle, La Femme Nikita, Relic Hunter, Adventure Inc., A Nero Wolfe Mystery, The Gospel of John, and Traders.

He co-starred in the CBC sitcom Little Mosque on the Prairie, playing Lebanese-Canadian construction contractor Yasir Hamoudi. In 2008, Rota portrayed Charles, who was a journalist for The Herald, in Saw V.

Will Jenz and Justine have interactions?

General Hospital spoilers have not mentioned any upcoming episodes with Sidwell and the ADA, but who knows what the future holds. Will these characters stick around Port Charles for the long haul or will they become collateral damage just like others who tried to end Sonny or fell in love with him.

Could Jenz and Justine one day fall in love, or will she end up sending him to prison?
