Elijah Crowe battles Sonny on 'General Hospital'

On General Hospital Sonny Corinthos always has enemies lurking who want to take him down. Even now that he has lost his memory and does not recall his former life he has someone who wants him out of the picture. Trouble has now found the coffee distributor in Nixon Falls and Sonny as Mike seems to have a worthy opponent in Elijah Crowe who is unaware of his true identity. I think of someone deciding to do battle with mild-mannered Clark Kent because they don't know he is really Superman.

Things are heating up in Nixon Falls since Jax showed up to talk to Nina and was shot. Jasper caught a glimpse of Sonny but Nina convinced him that he was hallucinating. While Nina was trying to do damage control in the hospital her new friend Elijah was trying to convince Lenny that Mike is bad news and cannot be trusted.

Dan White joined the General Hospital cast as Elijah Crowe a few weeks back and viewers are still trying to figure him out. He has put on the charm whenever he is around Nina and the Caufileds clearly love him. His motives have yet to be revealed but Mike's radar is on high alert and he thinks Mr. Crowe is up to no good. General Hospital viewers are debating on social media forums regarding what Elijah is really up to but no one knows for certain.

According to the Caulfields, Mr. Crowe is a friend but strange things have been taking place since he has been in town. On Monday's episode of GH, Elijah blamed all the trouble on Mike/Sonny but the string of burglaries in Nixon Falls actually began before Mike ever showed up. Lenny has even told this to the local police, yet he did not emphasize this truth to Elijah. Some viewers, just like Mike, believe Elijah is behind all the bad things that have taken place because he wants to take the Tan O away from the Caulfields.

Everyone in town agrees that a barn dance was an unlikely place for a shooting and a number of GH fans concur with Mike that Elijah has set it all up for his own purposes. Sonny Corinthos might not recall who he really is but his mob instincts are still in tact and screaming "warning warning, danger, danger." He senses that Elijah Crowe is bad news and even found out he was convicted of embezzlement. The two men got into a heated argument on Monday and each is more determined than ever to prove the other is the one who is causing all the problems.

Elijah says that trouble seems to follow Mike but some fans believe this is a smokescreen and Crowe himself is behind the strange happenings in Nixon Falls. Sonny/Mike and Elijah hurled accusations at one another but so far no proof has come forth to convict Mr. Crowe. Mike believes Elijah is up to no good and out to fleece Lenny and Phyllis out of all they own. He even thinks the trashing of the Tan O, the robberies, and the shooting were all a setup. Meanwhile, Elijah is questioning whether or not "Smike" really has amnesia.

Lenny and Phyllis like both men and don't want them bad mouthing each other. General Hospital viewers know what is going on with Sonny but don’t really know anything at all about Elijah. This is why the consensus is that Mr. Crowe is the one to watch out for. It is very possible that Mike is right and Elijah is behind all the mischief as he tried to convince Lenny and Phyllis to allow him to purchase the Tan O and become a silent partner. Mike interfered with this plan after winning enough money in a poker game to give the Caulfields so they did not have to accept Mr. Crowe’s offer.

.There is also a chance that someone else is behind all the mishaps and that Elijah is innocent. Until General Hospital viewers learn more about him it will be hard to tell. Perhaps he’s trying to frighten Lenny and Phyllis with the robberies and the shooting so they eill blame Mike and kick him out. This way Elijah could try again to get the Tano for himself. General Hospital viewers are eagerly waiting for the day when all of the puzzle pieces fall into place snd Elijah finds out he had been dealing with Port Charles mob boss Sonny Corinthos.

This will really be an eye opener. Fans of the ABC daytime drama are also wondering why no one has suggested getting a good set of Mike’s fingerprints or checking the DNA database to find his identity?
