'Duplicity' Is Tyler Perry's New Thriller
This thriller has lots of unexpected twists.

If you enjoy thrillers, you will love Tyler Perry's new movie that premieres on Amazon Prime on Thursday, March 20, 2025. Title of the Movie
Originally, the movie title was to be Black, White & Blue, based on justice and the truth never being "black and white." Then the title was changed to Duplicity.” That name is not to be confused with the 2009 romantic crime comedy film starring Julia Roberts and Clive Owen. The two films have nothing in common except the name.
Tyler Perry's Style
Those who have watched other movies written, directed, and produced by Tyler Perry are familiar with his style. He is renowned for his multifaceted approach to entertainment. He can blend humor with poignant storytelling no matter how serious the situation is.
Perry pulled out all the stops in Duplicity by making it a thriller that viewers will not likely forget. His previous works, such as Diary of a Mad Black Woman and Madea’s Family Reunion, have showcased his versatility, and Duplicity is poised to be another testament to his storytelling style.
Use of Same Actors
Another approach Perry favors is using some of the same actors in his movies. For instance, Tyler Lepley played the major part of Benny Young in Perry's hit series, The Haves and the Have Nots from 2013 to 2o21.
RonReaco Lee played the part of Jimmy in Perry's 2024 legal thriller Mea Culpa.
