Dil Dosti Dilemma Review

Friends, the name of the show that Amazon Prime has brought to its platform this month is Dil Dosti Dilemma. I was not excited to watch it, but I still watched this show for review purposes. But what is my reaction after watching this show? Whether it deserves your time or not. Let's find out.

Dil Dosti Dilemma is the story of three teenage girls who are very rich; they have no shortage of money, and they enjoy their lives to the fullest. One of them is Asmara, who is going to Canada on her holidays, but then something happens: instead of going to Canada, she goes to her grandmother's house.

To know what kind of changes come into Asmara's life after reaching her grandmother's house, you will have to watch this show, which includes seven episodes. Each episode is around 40–40 minutes long, and the last one is fifty-seven minutes long.

Dil Dosti Dilemma Review

Now, if I want to review the show Dil Dosti Dilemma for you in a few words, I would just say I AM SHOCKED.

See, I did not have any special expectations; I thought it would be the same typical Nibba/Nibbi show, the same meaningless teenage drama that we have already seen somewhere, but when the show started and at the point at which it ended, I was impressed.

Yes, of course, this is not the finest show, nor is it a masterpiece, but it turned out to be much better than what I had expected.

The first episode is completely dedicated to Nibba or Nibbi. For those who do not know the meaning of Nibba or Nibbi, let me tell you that Nibba means boy and Nibbi means girl.

So in the first episode of the show, we are introduced to Nibba/Nibbi, how Nibba/Nibbi talk nowadays, what is their attitude, and the drama of rich people, and then this show presents us the journey of a girl who is very rich but whose destiny takes him to a poor colony.

Honestly speaking, the journey of that rich girl has been shown, which shows the difference between rich and poor. After all, why are poor people poor? What are the things needed for happiness in the life of a poor person? What is the importance of relationships in their lives? And how are the rich becoming completely lonely these days? All these things were explored in the show.

There are multiple subplots in the show, and there is not just one character whose journey has been put forward; rather, the journey of all the characters can be seen, and believe me, every journey is going to completely hook you with it.

The characters were very strongly developed, although I started watching this show only for Anushka Sen because somewhere she is my crush. But there is one character in the show, Rukhsana. Mark my words, she will make you accept her. I mean, her childish actions may seem strange, but once this character develops, you will watch his journey if your eyes don't start watering in the last episode.

Alcohol, strong languages, fun, sexual immorality, Mard Ek Kuta Hai, aka man is a dog—all these things are often seen in teenage dramas, but surprisingly, this new show, Dil Dosti Dilemma, does not offer any such thing on a teenage theme.

Yes, teenagers are present in the show, but they are not involved in the wrong activities.

This is the only thing about this show that makes it different from other teenage shows; otherwise, in teenage dramas, other things are going on like sex, vulgarity, smoking, etc.

So yes, the characters are grounded, and they have also been presented quite well. The music of the show is decent, and I enjoyed listening to some songs that fit perfectly into the flow of the narration.

Acting Performances

Talking about the acting of the actors, I did not like the childishness shown by Anushka Sen in the beginning, but there are some dramatic parts where her acting was superb. Apart from this, Tanvi Azmi is seen in the role of Anushka Sen's grandmother, who is no doubt the finest actress, and it must be said that she has done a wonderful job in this show, especially in the emotional portions.

Revathi Pelai is also a part of this show, whom you must have seen in popular and amazing shows like Kota Factory and Yeh Meri Family, and one of the actions she does in the show felt very cringe. I mean, she is such an amazing actress; she has done so many amazing shows, but here I found her acting to be the most below average.

Apart from this, the actress Vishakha Pandey, who was seen in the role of Rukhsana, was superb, literally superb, meaning her journey was so amazing that there are no words to praise it.

The exciting ending makes you want more! The story isn't finished yet, and the main characters' journey leaves you hanging. You'll be itching to see what happens next in Season 2.

And I think there should have been some major twists as well; it would have been fun because, in many places, the episodes have been stretched so long that they give the feel of a TV show.

Conclusion

So, friends, see, I suggest you start watching this show. If you like the show until the second episode, then only continue it further; it will definitely impress you.

Otherwise, if you like thriller shows, then this show does not fit in your watch list at all, nor will it give you any fun.

In terms of parental guidance, there is no use of strong language, vulgarity, offensive, or disturbing elements in the show; there is only one kiss scene; nothing else apart from that; it is absolutely neat and clean. If you want, you can follow it with your family as well.

So friends, this was my review of Amazon Prime's new show, Dil Dosti Dilemma. I hope you enjoy it. Don't forget to subscribe.
