Citadel: Honey Bunny Web Series Review: Sholay of the Citadel Universe!
Is Citadel: Honey Bunny the Sholay of the Citadel Universe?

Finally guys Amazon Prime's next big show i.e. Citadel: Honey Bunny has arrived, I have completed watching it and what is my opinion on it, what is my take, what is my judgement or what is my point of view, let's find out.
Well show Citadel: Honey Bunny is the prequel of the original Citadel show and here you get to see the story of Nadia's parents i.e. Honey or Bunny, how Honey or Bunny become spies, what type of missions they do, what is their main mission, that is what you get to see in this show which has six episodes whose length varies from 45 to 50 minutes.
And yes, before watching Citadel: Honey Bunny, you do not need to watch any previous show of this universe.
Now if I want to review Citadel: Honey Bunny for you in one line, then I would just say that Citadel: Honey Bunny is the Sholay of this Citadel universe.
Look, all the previous shows of this universe have not been able to attract me at all. I mean they are very boring and just keep running without any motive, but at least Honey Bunny has come out much much better than those shows.
However, it is not that this show is a complete masterpiece show, this show will not bring goosebumps in your goto.
Honestly speaking, Citadel Honey Bunny also has many flaws, however, the length of each episode is 40 to 45 minutes and this show is not going to bore you much. I mean you will get to see some good interesting moments, you will get to see good chemistry, whatever intensity or thrill you should get to see, you will get to see all that.
It is said a lot about Varun Dhawan that he overacts a lot, if a good director comes then this guy acts well, Varun Dhawan has proved this thing earlier as well and this time too.
The intensity that we got to see in Varun Dhawan's character in the Citadel Honey Bunny show and the way he has played it, you get to see Varun Dhawan's acting range here, which once again proves that Varun Dhawan is a good actor but he should get the support of a good director if the director himself is not good then his work also happens according to that.
We get to see Samantha in the show as Honey, her accent disappoints a bit in many places but overall the work she has done is quite good without any doubt.
K.K Menon sir is also a part of this show and no doubt he is such an actor whose work no matter how much you praise it, it will still be less, meaning he is versatile, he breathes life into every character and that thing is seen here.
Apart from this, the supporting characters have also done their work very well, they deserve praise too.
This show is set in back time and the way the era of that time has been recreated here is impressive, I mean locations, art design, set design, costumes etc everything is impressive.
The special thing about BGM is that it matches with the scenes or you can say that BGM was sinking very well with the scenes.
Let me tell you further that the action of the show is the main highlight of the show. I mean that the level of action shown in the web series is quite interesting, meaning it is quite intense, and its choreography is quite good.
In many places, the action scenes were not that perfect. The way cool cinematography has hidden those flaws is quite good.
The cinematography is absolutely fine, and so is the lighting. I mean, the way the lights have been played in the show, again I would like to say interesting.
See, this is Raj and DK's show, but the comedic touch of Raj and DK was missing somewhere. I mean, there are no characters that are usually seen in Raj and DK's shows.
Yes there is a reference to pop culture here but you don't get to see much of it
Apart from this, I didn't like the ending of the show much. I mean, while paying off the buildup that was done, the hint of the second season should have been left here but no, the mystery of the first season that has just come has been left here, so why were we watching this show, at least pay off it, unfortunately, you don't get to see that payoff here.
All in all Citadel Honey Bunny is still a good time pass show, you will be able to enjoy watching it.
I will give the show 7 out of 10.
In terms of parental guidance, a lot of abusive language has been used in the show so please avoid watching this show with your family.
So this was my review on Citadel Honey Bunny. Hope you enjoy it, don't forget to subscribe and give me one heart ♥️
