Chad Duell is the latest MIA cast member of General Hospital
Robert Adamson who portrayed Noah Newman on The Young and the Restless is temporarily taking over the role.
General Hospital: Chad Duell is number 9
On Wednesday, June 1, General Hospital fans who tuned in saw Robert Adamson portraying Michael Corinthos in place of Chad Duell. Those who watch The Young and the Restless on CBS will recognize Adamson from his former role as Noah Newman. No reason has been given as to why Duell is away from the ABC soap or when he will return but he is one of a growing number of GH cast members who have been off-screen and or temporarily been replaced.
Chad is actually the 9th cast member of the ABC daytime drams who has been MIA for one reason or another since January. This is highly unusual and there is something GH fans should keep in mind. Viewers don't know how many other cast members may have been dealing with issues but an absence may have coincided with a character already having been scheduled not to be on screen.
Robert Adamson is a fan fsvorite
Robert Adamson appeared on The Young and the Restless as Noah from 2012 to 2020. The character was sent to Europe to work for Newman Enterprises but the role of Noah was recast in October 2021 and Rory Gibson is now portraying the son of Nick Newman ( Joshua Morrow ) and Sharon Newman (Sharon Case).
Y&R fans enjoyed Gibson as Noah and were sorry to see him vacate the role Some viewers were hoping he would returnGeneral Hospital fans gave the actor good reviews for temporarily tsking on the role of Michael. In 2020 the actor appeared on an episode of the FX series Dave but nothing more is known about what the actor has been doing since leaving the soap.
General Hospital: Six months of upheaval
June marks the sixth month in a row that a member of the General Hospital cast has been away from the soap. Charles Shaughnessy (Victor Cassadine) just returned from having hip surgery but he was not replaced and his character just was not on screen. Nancy Lee Graham ( Alexis Davis) had a recast and recently came back after having major back surgery. Leslie Charleston (Monica Quartermaine) had a recast for one episode but she has been away from her role for several months without explanation.
Inga Cadrenal (Harmony Miller) Brit Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) and Real' Andrews ((Marcus Taggert) all had COVID although Thiebaud was the only one who was not replaced.Kelly Monaco (Sam McCall) and Sophia Matthisson (Sasha Gilmore had temporary recasts but it was never said why they were off-screen. This is a lot of upheavel for one soap and some fans believe there is a curse on the series.
Is there a curse on General Hospital?
The blame is being placed on the fact that some fans believe Steve Burton (Jason Morgan) and ( Ingo Rademacher) were unjustly fired. Viewers are saying that all the isses stemmed from and began after these two long term cast members were sxed near the end od 2021. . Some fans say the issues plauging the soap are payback although not everone agrees. Other fsns say its all coincidence and not related to the firing of Rademacher and Burton.
As viewers await the return of Duell his recast Robertson returned on Thursdayin the aftermath of the judges decision.. He did a good job as an angry vengeful Michael who is determined to take down Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard). Be on the lookout for updates on what happens next for Chad Duell, Robert Adamson, Michael Corinthos and General Hospital. Hopefully there will be no more interuptions with the cast but time will tell.

But another reason is because I enjoyed the show The Crown and so, it only makes sense to read a book that goes through separating facts from fictions - and to be fair, there aren't a lot of fictions about the show it seems.
