Beyond Salem 2: The details are slowly coming in

"Days of Our Lives: Beyond Salem 2" is an extension of the beloved long-running NBC soap opera Days of Our Lives. which is "one of the longest-running scripted television programs in the world". Episodes have aired practically every weekday since November 8, 1965. The first season of the spin-off debuted in September 2021 and was a hit with viewers and critics.

The first season of the spin-off aired in September 2021 and featured current and past members of Salem and the sequel will do the same. Beyond Salem 2 will begin streaming on Peacock for 5 episodes to air July 11th through the 15th. Just as it was with the original show the details are being revealed slowly.

Days of Our Lives: What we do know at this point

What is known regarding Beyond Salem 2 is that the first series aired for free but the sequel can only be viewed through a Peacock subscription for $4.99 a month. You can also upgrade for $10.99 monthly and enjoy limited commercial interruptions.Fans know that Peter Reckell and Kristian Alfonso will reprise their roles as Bo and Hope Brady and that General Hospital alum Steve Burton who once portrayed a teen on the show is joining the cast.

Soap fans want to know what character Burton will play and how Bo who died in 2016 will fit into the equations There have been rumors that all 3 new additions to Beyond Salem 2 will crossover to Days of Our Lives on NBC but at this point, there is no evidence this will take place. TV Insider says the following about the second round for the spin-off series.

"As they trade the comforts of home for an adventure of a lifetime, heartwarming family reunions take a dangerous turn as a mysterious adversary wreaks havoc on their lives. It all leads up to larger-than-life romances, jaw-dropping twists, and high-stakes drama – and it all connects back to a memorable plot that originated on “Days of our Lives” long ago."

Viewers will be attempting to figure out what the past memorable plotline will be and how it is currently. If the facts come forth slowly as they did with the first spin-off it might be July before things fall into place. Cat members who were involved said they enjoyed working on the Peacock series. A few members spoke out after Beyond Salem and said try liked that they could take risks and perform scenes on Peacock including cursing that that would not be allowed on NBC.

DOOL controversy

The holiday spin-off Days of Our Lives A Very Salem Christmas was met with controversy both before and after it aired in December. Many DOOL fans complained that A Very Salem Christmas was not free as the first Peacock series was and social media was filled with fans saying they refused to pay.

After the holiday film aired there were viewers who said that drag queens and male strippers should not have been dancing suggestively to We Three Kings and O Come All Ye Faithful which are religious Christian Christmas carols/church humans about the birth of Christ. There were many other songs that could have been used and the series had no need to offend fans who consider church music sacred.

Overall the cast, as well as viewers, are excited about this new Peacock original series. Beyond Salem 2 is produced by Corday Productions in association with Sony Pictures Television. Ken Corday is the executive producer Albert Alarr, the co-executive producer, and Ron Carlivatiis is the head writer.
