Finally, after a much longer wait than should have been, and a pandemic, the much wanted and anticipated release of the "Black Widow" movie is getting close enough the excitement has my arm hairs standing on end. Scarlett Johansson is finally getting the standalone movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe she should have gotten after Marvels' Avengers. As a fan of the movies this is big, no huge, no colossal...you get the gist. After first appearing in the MCU in Iron Man 2, we're finally going to get to see a little of where Natasha Romanoff, the totally badass, fiery redhead, Avenger came from and learn a little more in-depth about the origins of the MCU's favorite assassin and ex-Sheild Agent. But, what about the actress?

Who is the famed female Avenger in real life? Scarlett Ingred Johansson was born on November 22, 1984, in the Manhattan borough in New York City. Her father, originally from Copenhagen, Denmark is an architect. Her mother Melanie (Sloan) is originally from New York who has worked as a producer. Johansson has described herself as Jewish with her roots coming from an Ashkenazi Jewish family going back to Poland and Russian descent.

Already famous for an impressive body of work and having received the Teen Choice Awards, Golden Globe Awards, and A tony Ward for Best Featured Actress In A Play Johansson was well on her way to superstar status before playing Black Widow in Jon Favreau's Iron Man 2 as part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Before securing the role, Johansson dyed her hair red to convince John Favreau that she was right for the part and went on to undertake both stunt and strength training to prepare herself for the iconic role. Johansson said the role was something that she wanted because it resonated with her, and she admired the human traits of the superheroine.

Johansson owned the role much the way Robert Downey Jr. Owned Iron Man or Chris Evans took ownership of Captain America. Black Widow was an Avenger and she went on to be in all of the Avengers movies as well as Captain America the Winter Soldier and Captain America Civil War. It doesn't sound like it was always the easiest of roles or worlds to be within as she opens up about the change in her character of the years.

Johansson was recently interviewed and told Collider that Black Widow was "so sexualized" and treated "like a possession" in her early MCU appearance. This isn't how the character is being depicted in "Black Widow", which makes the film complete a full transformation for the superhero's representation on the big screen.

"All of that is related to that move away from the kind of hyper-sexualization of this character and, I mean, you look back at 'Iron Man 2' and while it was really fun and had a lot of great moments in it, the characters is so sexualized, you know? Really talked about like she's a piece of something, like a possession or a thing or whatever-like a piece of ass, really. And Tony even refers to her as something like that at one point. What does he say?

What she's referring to is the scene in Iron Man 2 where Stark is introduced to Natasha. Tony's buddy and right-hand guy, Happy Hogan, is knocked out in the boxing ring by Natasha, leaving Stark impressed. he later tells Pepper Potts, "I want one," referring to Natasha.

At long last, Black Widow is getting her standalone, which is expected to take place in the time frame between Captain America Civil War and Avengers Infinity War. Fans know that it's not a post Endgame story because of...SPOILER ALERT!!! While we might never get to see on screen or really find out about her and Clint's adventures in Budapest, we know that we'll learn more about her early years, where she came from, and meet up with her family, who are in their own way, heroes.

Scarlett Johansson's commitment is arguably second to none. When she was interviewed for fashion Lady she gave insights on how she preps for things like Avengers, her workout, and overall diet.

Circuit Workouts For 90 Minutes – This session had explosive cardio movements as well as exercises with medicine balls, dumbbells, and resistance bands. She would complete 20 sets of 25-30 reps with no rest in between.

Hardcore Training– To acquire both strength and flexibility, she performs several reps of upper body and thigh strengthening exercises like lunges, chin-ups, regular squats as well as split squats.

Mixed Martial Arts (MMA)– This was done specifically to help her in action sequences for her movies. She does not do this on a regular basis.

Mix it all up– Here, Scarlett opens herself to try different forms of exercises like Pilates, yoga, etc. to remain strong and flexible.

Diet Plan Of Scarlett: Scarlett does not believe in crash diets but in eating a well-balanced diet in the right portions throughout the day. This means treating yourself to the occasional favorite delights as well but balancing. Instead of a large meal, she prefers small meals throughout the day.

That's how the 135-pound mother, superstar actress, and singer, and wife of Colin Jost does it all. So, don't forget, "Black Widow" is finally opening on July 9th, 2021, and streaming on Disney+ under the Premier Access Banner.
