Black Panther 3 Officially Confirmed By Marvel Studios

Following Denzel Washington's disclosure that a part was being written for him

By WHB KHNPublished about a year ago 3 min read

Only a few days after Denzel Washington revealed his role in the Black Panther threequel, Marvel Studios formally announces the MCU's Black Panther 3. T'Challa's last farewell presented a significant obstacle for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, but the film's extremely positive reviews and robust box office performance demonstrated that Ryan Coogler and his crew went above and beyond. The next major concern for the Black Panther franchise is what course Black Panther 3 can take now that the MCU has paid homage to Chadwick Boseman.

Longtime Marvel Studios executive Nate Moore will leave Marvel following the 2025 release of Captain America: Brave New World, according to a report by Deadline. In addition to praising Nate Moore's efforts, Marvel Studios head producers Kevin Feige and Louis D'Esposito disclosed that Moore will continue to collaborate with Marvel in a different role on Black Panther 3. See the remarks made by Feige and D'Esposito below:

“Nate is a fantastic executive and colleague as well as a wonderful friend to all of us here at Marvel Studios." “He has been a core member of our team since 2010, and his influence will continue to reverberate in our storytelling. Although we’ll miss him a great deal, we look forward to watching what he does next while also having the good fortune of working with him in a new way on our next Black Panther movie.”

Moore had some thoughts on his departure as well. Moore, who has been an executive at Marvel Studios since 2010, is incredibly appreciative to Marvel. Moore also emphasized how thrilled he is to be a part of the upcoming Black Panther 3 in the MCU. Moore's remarks are as follows:

“Nearly everything I know about producing I’ve learned from my time at Marvel Studios,” Moore said. “I feel lucky to have worked with a group of people who love filmmaking and storytelling as much as my Marvel colleagues and the cast and crew of our films. But I couldn’t be more excited to apply my experience and passion for film towards theatrical movies in all genres, including returning to the world of Wakanda for Black Panther 3.”

The Significance of Marvel's Nate Moore Verifying Black Panther 3

The Fantastic Four, Spider-Man 4, Avengers: Doomsday, and Avengers: Secret Wars are just a few of the major motion pictures that Marvel Studios is currently developing and producing. Marvel is working on other films and television series, though, that haven't seen many updates recently. Black Panther 3 became a real possibility when the conclusion of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever hinted at the handover of power from Shuri to Toussaint. Although there isn't an official release date yet, Marvel Studios' confirmation of Black Panther 3 puts the sequel on the MCU's roster of planned projects.

Marvel is unlikely to make many films in between Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars, which are scheduled for release in 2026 and 2027, respectively. Therefore, if Black Panther 3 is released in late 2026 or early 2027, its plot may revolve around the multiverse, or it may focus on the aftermath of Avengers: Secret Wars in late 2027 or early 2028. Phase 6 or Phase 7 may see the release of additional MCU sequels, such as Shang-Chi 2, Spider-Man 4, and Doctor Strange 3.

Our Analysis of Nate Moore of Marvel Verifying Black Panther 3

Shortly after Denzel Washington unintentionally announced he was in Black Panther 3, Marvel Studios confirmed the sequel. Therefore, even though Black Panther 3 might have only recently started production, Denzel Washington's inclusion in the cast indicates that Marvel Studios has been working on the film for some time. Behind the scenes, Black Panther 3 must already have a clear script and an estimated release date if this is accurate. The same might hold true for potential follow-ups such as Thor 5, Shang-Chi 2, and Doctor Strange 3.
