Amelia Heinle: What you may not know
Amelia Heinle is known for her popular character Victoria Newman (Locke) on the CBS soap The Young and the Restless. She has had the role of the daughter of Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and Nikki Newman (Melody Scott Thomas) since 2005. Fans have been used to seeing Heinle as this character may not know that the actress was on three previous daytime dramas.
From 1993 to 1995 Amelia played the role of Stephanie "Steffi" Brewster on the soap opera Loving. She also played the same character for two months (November 1995 until January 1996 in that show's short-lived spin off The City. From 2001-2004 she portrayed Mia Saunders on Loving. Heinle also has had other movie and television roles so her face pops up from time to time thanks to syndication and retro channels. In 1994 the actress was nominated for a Soap Opera Digest Award for "Outstanding Female Newcomer".
The Young and the Restless: Victoria is complicated
Victoria Newman is a complicated woman who is considered to be an ice queen. She was born into a life of privilege and considered by some to not be very kind-hearted. As of this writing, she is married to Ashton Locke (Richard Burgi) who was supposed to be a ruthle3ss business tycoon who was nicknamed the Lockness monster. He is now supposedly dying from cancer but the actor renewed his contract with The Young and the Restless for another year.
Many fans, however, believe that her heart will always belong to Billy Abbot (Jason Thompson). These devotees believe that if Victor had not interfered so many times the couple might have had a decent chance and still be together. There are others who watch The Young and the Restless who say that it's time Billy and Victoria walk away from each other for good and only co-parent together.
The daughter of Victor Newman is a chip off the old block as she is s shrewd businesswoman who is now living her dream and running her father's company Newman Enterprises. Viewers are waiting to find out Ashton's fate and whether or not he has been running a scam on the Newmans thsi entire time.
Amelia Heinle: Awards and television and movie roles
During the 1990s the actress appeared in a number of made for television movies including Black Cat Run, Jack and Jill, Purgatory, and QuickSilver Highway. Between 2000 and 2009 she appeared in Sally Hemmings an American Scandal, The Only Living Boy in New York, and Earth vs the Spider. The actress also had roles in Ghost Whisperer, CSI Miami, the films At Sachem Farm , Liar's Poker, The Limey, and the movie short Another Night.
In 2014 Heinle won the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series The Young and the Restless. The following year, 2015 she won the same award. In 2019 she was nominated for Soap Awards France Best International Actor / Actress The Young and the Restless.
Amelia Heinle has married two co-stars
In February 1995, Amelia married her Loving co-star and on-screen romantic interest, Michael Weatherly. She gave birth to their son named August on January 10, 1996. She and Weatherly divorced in 1997. In March 2007 she married her Young and the Restless co-star, and on-screen spouse Thad Luckinbill, who portrayed J.T. Hellstrom.
They have two children, a son, Thaddeus Rowe, who was born on November 2, 2007. and a daughter, Georgia March, born on December 17, 2009. March also happens to be Luckinbill filed for divorce from Heinle in 2017, and some reports indicate the divorce was finalized. Others say that as of 2019, they were still together.
