A new adventure.
The hearts yearning.

Whatever goes upon the edge of the horizon, the heart knows that it will eventually find its way. Regardless of the tides gentle caress upon the sandy shores, as it recedes from its grip from the earthen trek. Whether the skies are all the clearer within the realm of the sea, or the maelstrom churns at the oceans raging, announcing her hearts unyielding fury. Despite the scent of salt amidst the swaying breeze, and the warmth of the sun setting upon the realm of the free folk of the west. The horizon was a mysterious lass, a coy mistress to be chasing. Men have chased her all their lives, regardless of their intent. Despite all that goes on under the heavens and all the stumbling blocks placed against the pursuits of men, the heart will eventually find what it seeks. The tides come and go, come and go, come and go, to and fro, rising high unto the beaches, and sinking back in retreat. But no matter how much it struggled, it would never yield in defeat. So it was with what the human heart truly seeks and desires.
The sea, was still. The ocean's waters seemed eager to hear the relaying of judgment. The absence of the breeze left the sails standing still, and a choice was considered before the mast. Deep within the ship’s wooden depths, the crew stood before to hear the verdict of their Captain. Of where their ventures lie next.
“The vast depths of the ocean blue, the very realm of the seas. I have sailed these very waters for nearly as far back as I can remember. Now, we have the opportunity to seek and lay claim to its final prize. I have sailed every venture upon the deep blue, save one. One final adventure, to have before I have seen it all! ‘The gem of the deep blue, the most precious treasure of the seven seas!’ And laddies, we’re going to search for it and find it!” The Captain said upon his seating.
Murmurs flowed throughout the ship's tavern. The uncertainty of the crewmates towards their next journey. The First Mate looked unsure, but attempted to reaffirm composure. “I second the Captain's motion, and I believe he will steer us true! If we gain access to the treasure, the seas will be ours to command!” the First Mate reinforced. Another pirate shrewdly intervened. “The gem of the deep blue is the rarest treasure of the seven seas, and it’s only known through song and legend. If one was going to find it, one would have to search for the map of the deep blue, the most legendary treasure map in all the ocean! And that map, if the legend is true, is guarded by a vicious water dragon that slithers throughout a hidden temple in an island in the southwest seas! Are you really proposing that it’s even possible for us to obtain the map, let alone find the treasure?” the Pirate shrewdly suggested.
The Captain arose from his chair, and stood tall and firm in the presence of his crew. He took a couple steps forward as he made his presence known. “I know that we’ve sailed long and hard, lads. I know that you are all weary, tired, and distressed. But here and now, I ask of you: What sailor wouldn’t risk his life, to gain power over the seas? What salty dog wouldn’t venture for the precious jewel of the oceans, the very treasure all men of the sea covet deeply? I tell you here and now lads, the time is upon us! We, the double-eyed crew, sea more clearly then any pirate that be sailin the seven seas! We, have more vision than any scallywag roaming these waters, and more right to that precious gem, then any pirate roaming around every port of every continent. I submit, here and now, we shape history! Here and now, we take our places amongst the very pages of history, that the double-eyed crew made the impossible happen! Here and now, we will find that treasure, and make ourselves the most fearsome pirate crew, in all the seven seas. If we are to find what we want, we must search for it in the very place we do not want to find it! We do not get the gem without facing the beast! Whose with me? Which of you want to rule the seven seas as King and Lords of the oceans themselves?” the Captain asked charismatically.
The tavern remained silent for a time, but one pirate shouted, “Aye!” Sounds of aye’s flooded the room as the sailors started to man their posts. A sailor started to sing.
In the midst of the horizon where the sun sets by the western sea,
Our hearts set out on a journey, so young, and wild, and free,
Hoist the anchor, set the sails, let the wind guide our path!
For we journey towards a final venture whatever the aftermath!
The oceans are our portion wherever our ship may be,
As we sail upon the deepest blue, within the realm of the sea,
We journey towards our destination regardless of length or measure,
To find the gem of the seven seas, the oceans dearest treasure,
Upon an island in the southwest within a hidden place,
There lies a map with coordinates that we have yet to trace,
Within the temple, there lies a beast, a dragon of an ancient old,
He guards the way to our portion, we rally our strength, so bold!
The oceans are our portion wherever our ship may be,
As we sail upon the deepest blue, within the realm of the sea,
We journey towards our destination regardless of length or measure,
To find the gem of the seven seas, the oceans dearest treasure,
Though this conflict shall be harsh, and the fight will be a hard one,
We’ll shout in triumph over the spoils when the battle is said and done,
Gaze upon the western horizon, as the sun sets and the night is yet to be,
For tomorrow, we venture forward to claim dominion from sea to shining sea!
The oceans are our portion wherever our ship may be,
As we sail upon the deepest blue, within the realm of the sea,
We journey towards our destination regardless of length or measure,
To find the gem of the seven seas, the oceans dearest treasure,
The Captain gazed upon the sun setting upon the western horizon, and smiled at both the majesty and beauty of the view.
“You’ve always loved gazing at the sun setting upon the west. Is It that pretty to you?” the First Mate asked standing at his right side.
He turned to his first mate and smiled, his right hand twirling his white mustache and beard. “I’ve always had a fondness for the sunset on the western horizon. It reminds of me of the labors of the current day, and the hope that stirs within the hearts of men for a new revelation that could be shown tomorrow. It’s a reminder that something new could happen. Something, perhaps, never seen before. It’s always inspired hope in my heart, and has kept me going these long years. I truly believe that something new will be shown at the rising of dawn.” the Captain stated as he turned to lead his men to victory.
