01. Ozark (2017-)

A businessman, apparently ordinary, has his life transformed when the mafia claims that his partner in the company stole money from them. Well, this is only the beginning of hell in this man’s life, who will have to deal with the consequences of his past acts, his decadent marriage, take care of his two teenage children and, yet, abandon life as he had known and move to a small town called Ozark. Currently in its fourth season, this Netflix series is of impressive mastery. Its intense and undisturbed history makes it impossible not to shiver at each episode. And to complete, we still have the partnership between Jaon Bateman and Laura Linney as the couple of protagonists.

02. Better Call Saul (2015-)

Taking shape within the universe of Breaking Bad, ‘Better Call Saul’ tells the story of lawyer Jimmy McGill in his attempt to practice his profession and survive financially. However, the series gains weight even by destroying man’s relationship with the criminal side of the world. Almost as good as the original series, Better Caul Saul blends more frenetic moments with others in which the drama of the central characters can develop well. A series not to be missed.

03. Dark (2017-2020)

Complex, the series explores dark and unexplained events in a small German city. Nurturing time travel, parallel universes and various other concepts, ‘Dark’ is that series to play with and not think about anything else. A grateful recent surprise in the world of series and worth every minute invested by the viewer. The series has already reached its end and has three incredible seasons.

04. OZ (1997-2003)

Over six seasons we will explore the rustic day to day of a prison, knowing a little about the people who run the place and the prisoners who live there. Disturbing, ‘OZ’ is a series that innovated its medium when it was launched by HBO in the late 1990s. Fascinating stories are told, and a glimpse of the hard part of existence is unraveled to the viewer.

05. Feet Under (2001-2005)

The daily life of a family that owns a funeral home is unraveled by the series, showing the anguish and pleasures of each member exposed there, besides making an almost poetic counterpoint between living and dying. ‘Six Feet Under’, no doubt, is one of the highest quality series ever produced. It is an irreversible drama, with memorable characters and episodes that move us.

06. Dexter (2006-2013)

A psychopath decides to concentrate his murderous impulse only on those people who promote evil, that is, he only kills bad people. So the series will walk during its eight seasons, working to tell the trajectory of this unusual character. ‘Dexter’ made a gigantic noise during the time he was on the air, leaving fans of the series obsessed with the story and the sense of confusion that governs each episode.

07. Supernatural (2005-2020)

Two brothers fight against supernatural forces that permeate the world, getting involved in the worst possible confusions. Supernatural’ had a more concentrated beginning in a more classic terror exhibition, then moving on to a terror that mixes action and adventure. The series has 15 seasons and more than 300 episodes for you to watch and have fun with the adventures of the Winchester brothers.

08. Twin Peaks (1990-1991)

The murder of a young woman brings terror to a small and quiet city. An FBI agent is assigned the mission to go to the city and investigate the crime. In place, the man will realize that nothing there is normal and his investigation will be much more complicated than he thought. Twin Peaks’ is iconic for its strange and truly irresistible atmosphere. Even not maintaining the good level during all the episodes of his two seasons in the 1990s, we can include the series among the great ones of his time, having as creator the great David Lynch.
