2017 has been an incredible year for video games. With both major triple A titles and indies showcasing just how far the medium can go, it was a great year to be a gamer. And, much like everybody else, I’d like to share which of those games are my favorites.

Co-Op Gaming With My SO
I am an avid gamer, but my girlfriend is not. For the most part, that's fine. I am still able to play when I want to, and it doesn't create any stress or arguments between us. But since gaming has been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember, I wanted to share my hobby with my significant other. I figured I would be playing games regardless, so why not include her, too? And, much to my delight, she reluctantly agreed!

'Last One In': A Zombie Card Game
Last One In is a zombie-themed card game that allows players to compete against each other to rescue civilians and flood their opponents with zombies. The game was designed by Mark Taylor about two years ago, after he had an extraordinary dream. Mark continued to work on the game with his partner Janine for the next six months. Mark then met the artist Aaron Howdle at Brighton’s one and only Steampunk bar, the Yellow Book. The artist describes his work as an alternative 19th century view of Science Fiction. His visionary drawings of zombies add another dimension to the nail-biting card game. Zombie apocalypse beckons…

7 Wonders Duel - Review and Basic Strategy
7 Wonders Duel is a two player game where you build a civilization through three ages and attempt to defeat your opponent with one of three victory conditions. It takes a couple matches to start to see the strategies one should employ and the amount of luck that is actually involved in the game. If you are in the market for a two player game this one should be in your collection. It is enjoyable on many levels and plays very quickly once players get the flow of the game.

'Minecraft' vs 'Terraria' vs 'Stardew Valley' vs 'Starbound'
This comparison will go into the details of the different mentioned games as much as I can talk about them. I would like to point out that I have played all these game titles, however I have played Terraria more than other titles but this will not mean I am going to be biased towards it without my reasoning. I will allow people to make their own choice from the things I mention. Enjoy!

The Letter Guide: Zachary x Hannah Route
Introduction! The Letter is one of the most complex and well-written visual novels that I've ever come across. What was once a humble Kickstarter project has proven to be a masterpiece, at least in my opinion. The choices in this game are incredible, with over 32 routes possible. Not only do they cater to most shipping tastes, but they also prioritise character development over romance. The true ending is beautifully tragic, but despite this being a horror story, you can still have your happy ending.
