Are Violent Video Games Training People To Commit Crimes?
Here we go again, the never-ending blame game of linking violent video games to real-world crime. The latest attack on violent video games comes from a State Representative in Illinois. Representative Marcus Evans Jr calls for the sale of violent video games like Grand Theft Auto V to be banned in his state. The reason for the ban is debatable, but Rep. Evans believes a recent uptick in carjackings is directly linked to individuals being influenced by violent video games. Before we continue discussing the proposed ban, let us dive deeper into some of the so-called violent video games to better understand what is causing this uproar.

The Game
The Game Jackson sat in his brown desk chair. He had a trail of wrappers and cans splayed around him. The boy had spent hours in that very same spot. Jackson’s hair was mussed and his clothes were the same as the day before. The glow of the computer screen illuminated his face with an eery glow. He was tired, oh so tired but he could not give up. He had to finish the game in time. The reward was too great. All he needed to do was remember the special code in the final level.

How To Play Keeper-Kennan: A TFT Gameplay Guide
I remember the first time I encountered the Keeper-Kennan composition in a ranked game. I just wrinkled my nose at four Keepers around 4-3. In the end, that player and their fancy 3-star Kennan were responsible for knocking me out of the game into fifth place. I didn’t think much of it until I came across a video by BunnyMuffins about the comp.

At Long Last, I’m (Partially) Excited for Pokémon Again. Top Story - March 2021.
Pokémon was a significant part of my childhood; as a kid, I was obsessed with the anime and would watch it as often as I could. I never really got into collecting the trading cards though, nor did I play the games released for the Game Boy Advance. I did want Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness for a brief time, but it wasn’t one of the top games on my wish list. However, in 2007, my parents gifted me a Nintendo DS Lite, and with it came an opportunity to finally snag some Pokémon games of my own. I knew that the newest generation of the games was releasing on the DS, and I was excited to finally try one out. It seemed that Pokémon as a whole was entering a new era, because the Diamond and Pearl anime also started to air around this time, and I found myself engrossed in the new characters and creatures the show introduced. I was obsessed with Pokémon, and I was eager to play Diamond and Pearl and have a complete blast traversing through the Sinnoh region. Unfortunately, it would be a while before I got my hands on the games. The opportunity never arose throughout 2007, and I moved to India in the first half of 2008, where the games hadn’t been stocked yet. By this time, I had gotten a chance to finally play some of the older games, and I was certain that I would end up enjoying the DS games. As fate would have it, my father traveled to the United States in the latter half of the year, and he came back with a brand new copy of Pokémon Pearl. It was a dream come true for 10 year old me, and from the moment I booted up the game, I was addicted.

The Shore Is Terrible And Here's Why
The Shore was a much-anticipated(in certain circles) Lovecraftian horror game that I first heard mention of on Itch.io back in early 2020. My early glimpses of it back then made it seem like a walking simulator, like Dear Esther meets Dagon, more or less. It looked really cool. Unfortunately, it turned out to be really bad.
