Why I Travel to the Spirit World

A Personal Quest for Healing, Truth, and Connection

By Great pleasurePublished 7 months ago 4 min read

I had always been a seeker—drawn to the mysteries of the unseen, the intangible. From a young age, I was fascinated by the idea that there was more to life than what the eyes could see. But it wasn't until I felt a deep inner longing—one I couldn't explain—that I began my journey to the spirit world.

My Journey to Spiritual World

It all started during a period of intense personal struggle. I was facing challenges in my life that I couldn't seem to overcome—old wounds, unresolved grief, and a gnawing sense of emptiness that lingered no matter how hard I tried to fill it. I knew I needed something, but I didn’t know exactly what. That's when I stumbled across an old book on ancient rituals and spiritual journeys, tucked away in a forgotten corner of a bookstore.

The book described a ritual that could open the door to the spirit world—an ethereal plane where answers were said to be waiting. The idea intrigued me, but I was also skeptical. Was it real? Or just an ancient story meant to inspire the curious and the desperate? I couldn’t say for sure, but I knew that something had to change. I decided to try it.

I prepared for the ritual, gathering the simple tools described in the book—a candle, incense, and a small object that held personal significance. I chose a polished stone I had carried with me for years, a small token from a friend I had lost. When the time came, I sat in a quiet room, bathed in the soft glow of candlelight, and began the chant that would supposedly open the doorway between worlds.

At first, nothing happened. I felt foolish, even a little scared. But then, something shifted. The air grew thick, and a soft, cool breeze brushed against my skin. The world around me began to dissolve, and I found myself standing in a new, unfamiliar place—a place I now know to be the spirit world.

So, why did I travel there?

To Seek Healing

The first reason I sought the spirit world was for healing. I had been carrying emotional baggage for far too long—grief, regret, and unanswered questions about relationships that had long since faded into the past. The spirit world seemed to call to me as a space where I could confront these wounds. The moment I arrived, I felt a profound peace, as if the world around me was alive with energy and wisdom. I was not alone. There, I met beings—spirits who were neither judgmental nor cold, but full of compassion. They seemed to understand my pain without me needing to explain. The journey to the spirit world allowed me to process grief I had never fully acknowledged, offering me closure in ways the physical world could not.

To Seek Truth

Another reason I travel to the spirit world was to seek the deeper truths of life. I had always wondered about the nature of existence, the afterlife, and the fundamental questions of why we are here. When I arrived, I felt as though the very air was filled with knowledge—an unspoken wisdom that surrounded me like a mist. The spirits in the realm weren’t just memories of people; they were repositories of understanding, living in a world beyond time and space. I walked with them and absorbed their insights, learning things I could never have imagined. I realized that truth isn't always found in physical form—it lives in experiences, in feelings, and in the quiet moments that we sometimes overlook.

To Connect with the Unseen

Perhaps the most powerful reason I journeyed to the spirit world was to reconnect with something larger than myself. The world I entered was not only filled with spirits of the departed, but also with an overwhelming sense of interconnectedness. It felt like everything was part of a grand, unified whole—every soul, every moment, every energy. It was as if the spirit world was not a place to escape to, but a space where I could remember my true essence. I understood, for the first time, that the spirit world isn’t separate from our world—it’s always there, interwoven with everything around us. We are constantly surrounded by energies and forces we can’t always perceive, but they are with us nonetheless.

I encountered spirits who had moved on from their earthly lives, yet their presence still lingered. Some of them had unfinished business, but others had reached a place of peace. What struck me most was how these spirits seemed to have a deep sense of calm, as if they had seen beyond the veil of suffering and found a place where time no longer bound them.

The experience was transformative. While I didn’t gain all the answers I was seeking, I returned from the spirit world with a newfound understanding of my own journey. I had touched a realm that existed beyond the limits of ordinary perception, and in doing so, I had touched a deeper part of myself.

I don’t know if everyone is meant to journey to the spirit world, but for me, it was a necessary step—a way to seek healing, find truth, and connect with a greater force that transcends the limits of the physical world. Since that night, I have carried the lessons of the spirit world with me. I no longer look at life in the same way. I no longer fear what I cannot see. The journey to the spirit world wasn’t just about visiting another realm—it was about understanding the realm within me, and embracing the connection we all share.

Would you walk the path to the spirit world, too?
