science fiction
The bridge between imagination and technological advancement, where the dreamer’s vision predicts change, and foreshadows a futuristic reality. Science fiction has the ability to become “science reality”.
You Trick the Waking Mind
The woman they call Lu sits upright in bed, the dream still eddying about her temples. She reaches in the dark for her little black notebook, knowing where it will be. The only way you survive in this business is by being precise. She taps the wall for soft light and scribbles hastily on a blank page, trying to capture the essence of the dream before it slips from her grasp.

The Callyn Chronicles
Muffled voices awoke Callyn from a deep fog, but she could not shake herself from its smoky clutches - she was in and out of consciousness, stripped of her senses, and vulnerable, but how did this happen? The voices drifted in and out of her range of hearing, but she managed to recognize one that was all too familiar - Dr.Galaxy! She tried to move her body but was unable to manage even the slightest twitch. She could feel the vibrations of some sort of breathing apparatus covering her mouth and nose, but other than that her entire body was numb and seemingly weightless. She tried to open her eyes but was unable to manage more than a squint.

N.E.A.R. Space
“What’s this notebook doing here?” A security badge from National Labs detailed with a woman’s face and name “Ida Baker” Particle Accelerator Technician lied face up on next to the notebook. She picked up the notebook from the counter. The notebook felt heavier than anticipated. The front cover was black with the word N.E.A.R. embossed on it.

22:00
One afternoon I found a little black book at the bottom of the decorative chest adorning my living room; that is where I put all my random thing-a-mabobs, kind of like the dish that is in every household that contains loose change, pens that don’t work anymore and random batteries. I was actually looking for a new notebook hoping I still had a few unused ones, however that little black book looked different from my usual style. The scratches on the leather cover suggested it was used, but there was nothing written in it! Jackpot!!

I'm a Winner
I could hear Lisa from three aisles over. She has the loudest voice I've ever heard. Not because she yells, because of how her throat shoots sound out of her mouth - like a hurricane. She was asking the butcher about the price of some meat. Normally, you wouldn't think twice about overhearing this, but these days Lisa's meat conversations were different. She wasn't discussing the price of regular meat, she was discussing the price of human meat. Human meat, which has been legal for about five months now. And although heavily legislated, like you had to die of natural causes before your meat could be eaten, it was still 100%legal and you could buy it anywhere. I slowly made my way over to Lisa as she was finishing up the interrogation. She picked out three cellophane packages from her cart and presented them to me. "Samoan," she said. "It's supposed to be very soft and sumptuous." I cringed. I couldn't talk about this like she could. She went on about how Samoan meat was different in texture, could take on marinades and how well it would fit into her Super bowl menu. I nodded, but knew when that day came, I wouldn't be eating much. I've tried human meat, on more than one occasion and while I can't say that it's bad, I'm nowhere near the recipe trading stage yet. As we get to the cash, Lisa goes over her menu to me again and is suddenly concerned that the meat was on sale because Samoan meat is actually lower quality meat and not as good as she had heard. She gets a suspicious look on her face and asks me way too loudly, where Samoa is. I have no idea where Samoa is and turn my head up to the sky to think. As I do, my eye catches the cashier. She's looking at Lisa who is now poking the meat and making faces. My guess is that she's offended by Lisa's blatant disrespect for the human that provided this meat. My other guess is that she's Samoan.

Reflection of time, money, and a book from somewhere.
What would you do if you had to ability to alter time and fate? Would you end slavery? Put a stop the holocaust by ending Hitler? Save the ones you love or see what truly happened in pas events? But, let me stop here I am going to far and starting to lose my train of thought here. My name is Zedd Aldis Bridge I was 27 years old when all this craziness started. By the way I know my name is one letter different from the word seed. I’ve heard all the dumb jokes so save it. Thank you.
