science fiction
The bridge between imagination and technological advancement, where the dreamer’s vision predicts change, and foreshadows a futuristic reality. Science fiction has the ability to become “science reality”.
Phaedra's First Escape
Nobody can hear a scream in the vacuum of space, or so they say. Space, however, can still be created from nothing and exist with or without matter. Since the origin of the universe, entropy and rebirth have been the force behind galaxies, new ones being created and others disappearing into black holes in complete silence or supernovas in an utter cacophony of chaos. In one spiral galaxy, a series of planets orbited a star, and one of these planets gave rise to life. The space around them had yet to be explored, but with each new satellite and telescope these life forms sent out, the possibility of finding life elsewhere became more probable.

Dream Gliders
Nobody can hear a scream in the vacuum of space, or so they say. But I know they’re wrong. ***** I was born on this ship almost 18 years ago. My parents were born on it, too. And their parents. Only Mom’s grandparents remembered the planet Earth, and they died last year. They told me intricate stories about deep, blue oceans, purple mountains that seemed to touch the sky, and lush forests inhabited by the strangest creatures. There was something called “snow” that was as white as my boots, and lightning that lit up the sky like electricity, whatever that is.

My Space Train
The first thing I heard was the voice of the Conductor. “Julia Carlson, wake up please. Dr. Carlson, your assistance is needed. Please respond. Julia Carlson, wake up please…” The deep voice repeated the message several times as I tried to make my eyes, and mind, focus. As I became more alert, I saw that I was lying on a medical diagnostic bed while two small robots scanned me and checked readings. I guessed that I was in a hospital. “I’m awake,” I finally responded to the voice.

New Worlds
Nobody can hear a scream in the vacuum of space, or so they say. But I can promise you, that when your fighter is sent careening into the open void, metal warped from plasma weaponry and your body wrapped in flame as the ruined systems ignite your oxygen supply, you will hear your screams, as will the rest of your squad as your communications transmit to your last breath. I wonder how many heard such screams, all those years ago, when the Terran Domain fell to civil war and anarchy. The old stories say that a million cruisers burned in the Sol system alone. Not an impossible number of course, as in those days, humanity’s power covered a vast number of worlds, and though many have been lost, many have been taken as well by those kingdoms of the stars, born from the death of the greatest empire that mankind has ever built. Mind you, the New Terran Commonwealth, “Terran” in name only as that rock burned with its armies, is rising fast and poised to be the true successor; two hundred thousand worlds strong and growing fats, through conquest and diplomacy, reuniting the human race and rediscovering the god-engines of old.

The Error Train
Once upon a time, there was a train. And in that train there was a man. This man had no idea where, or when he was. This man was lying down on multiple pieces of straw like in many stories. This man suddenly stuttered to life. There in front of him he saw another man sitting on a bench reading a newspaper. That newspaper read that a man mysteriously disappeared in an experiment to go to alternate dimensions. “Where are we?” The man in the straw asked. “We’re on a train of course!” the mysterious man chuckled. The man lying in the straw then asked, “Who are you?” The man then said “I'm John. Nice to meet you.” he said with a friendly smile. John then stood up and helped the man up. “May I ask what your name is?” John said. “My name is…uh… hmm… I…I…l…I don’t remember my name.” the man said. “What?! How can you just forget your name?!”John said, clearly surprised. “I don’t know.” the man said. “Wait! I remember my name! It’s Henry!” he exclaimed. “Well nice to meet you Henry!” John said, reaching out his hand. Henry gladly took it. “Where are we going anyway?” Henry asked. “I don’t actually know.” John said “All I know is this train is never stopping.” “What do you mean it’s never stopping?!” Henry exclaimed. “How are we going to survive?!” “I don’t know.” John said. “I’m in the same boat as you are.” Then, at that very moment, a blinding light flashed in front of them and in its place a backpack appeared with a note on it. John and Henry just stood there in awe. “Well that was convenient!”John said with a laugh. “Wait! There’s a note!” Henry exclaimed. John then carefully stepped towards the note and read it aloud. “This is an infinite bag. Use with caution.” John then looked inside, felt around and felt something materialize in his hand.”I feel something!” John said, pulling the object out. This object had another note. This note said,”Looks like you found the duplicator! I think you might know what it does because of the name. There is a knob on the duplicator that can change how many times it duplicates. Have fun!” John and Henry stood there in awe. “Is this for real?” Henry asked. “I have no idea.” John said. “Is there anything else in the bag?” Henry asked. “Let me check.” John said. John then found a smorgesboarg, a bottle of water, and an auto toy creator. John then said “well, we have water, food, and entertainment.” “So… what now?” Henry asked. Just then the wall broke down, followed by a woman. That woman looked at the men with a fighting spirit that says, you’re going down. The men looked at her baffled. “Who are you and how did you get here?” the men said together. “My name is Sophia and I got here from nunya.” “What's nunya?” the men said at the same time. “Nunya business.” She said, dabbing. She then ran through the next wall quickly. The men then started running after her. The woman looked back and saw them chasing her and sped up. The men continued to chase after her no matter what. The woman finally stopped suddenly at the front of the train. The woman finally said, “All of this,” she said “all of it is a…gkfhfjfjdfv” the woman started to say an unrecognizable language, if it was a language at all to start with. “What is going on?!” Henry asked. “I have no idea.” John replied. “No idea.”

Desecrated Earth
Nobody can hear a scream in the vacuum of space, or so they say. Times have changed throughout the 29 years I have existed on this earth. I have often questioned the unknown like; Why has Pluto been removed from the nine planets or why was NASA and the government so interested in the planet Mars? Why is daylight savings time even invented? Why does reality seem not so real anymore? Its like the world is unraveling events that was never exposed . I would not suggests to believe that the earth will live an extra ten years in time.

Train Number 7
It’s been 10 years since the rapture took out the whole planet we used to call earth. Today it stands as a beacon of death and despair. The earth had become overrun by evil, consumed in the silk of Satan himself. Those who were left behind suffered a gruesome death unlike any other imaginable. Unborn children are ripped out of their mother’s womb like pulling silly putty out of a stubborn container. Children cry out for their parents as they await their heads to be cut off. Having their tongues cut out to silence their screaming before perishing. Gangs of ghouls traverse the vast wasteland once known as earth. Feasting on the blood of the innocent left behind. Creating earth as the new kingdom of hell.

The Joy Of Serving That I Never Wanted
Myra and I were doing well. We were having a lot of fun and getting along together. Everyone knew we were seeing each other, which was fine. I thought the relationship was very serious and then she tells me she wants to visit The Seven Stars. She wants to take a year off from the board to visit the planets on some pilgrimage. And then she told me I didn’t have to wait for her because she might not come back. That heifer broke my heart.

Falling Under the Stars
Nobody can hear a scream in the vacuum of space, or so they say. I’ve never been out there but today I saw many of my friends and fellow crew sucked out into the vacuum. Our ship, The Endeavor, left Earth a few weeks ago on a mission to observe a planet in the beta quadrant called HY-2088819 and determine if it can host life. There were twenty different ships sent out into the cosmos. Those going to the delta quadrant were going to take the longest since they had to navigate away from the center of our galaxy.
