No Light at the End! Help Me! (based on actual events) The train wasn't slowing down...it wasn't slowing down! I was alone on the train (again?!) and that deep, inner terror was back with a vengeance - along with the new, weird sense somewhere even deeper inside, that it wasn't the end...that I wouldn't die and that the journey had a purpose.

The Spook House
The Spook House (Based on true events) By Dave Lutes The cabin in the woods had been abandoned for years, but one night, a candle burned in the window. THE window in the upstairs bedroom – a bedroom that had no door, in or out. The bedroom from where the screams of a young boy had once echoed down the valley. The valley where no one wanted to build a home - although, over time, over 150 years or so, a couple of dusty roads were carved out along the hill above and below where the cabin stood.

The Little Black Book of Soyuznik (based largely on actual events) As Special Agent Kline of the St Louis FBI slid the small, well-worn, small black book across the table toward me at the Panera Bread Company in Wentzville, MO, the blank, emotionless faces of both FBI agents left me dry-throated and sweaty-necked. I didn't pick up the book. I didn’t even look at it (except from the corner of my eye). I just stared back at them. They had called me earlier in the day and asked if they could have a ‘private chat’ with me. This happened in June 2014.

“Ok, I’m holding her down, cut it, cut it…and put it in - now!” Just as one of the men brought the scalpel out of the case so he could cut and insert the miniature locket into the back of Christa’s right hand, the sound of others approaching – a large group – could be heard. Both men turned and glanced down the alley.
