The Ascender (in the beginning)
As he sat suspended in the air, just outside of the atmosphere, held by whatever greatness brought him to his present state. Robert teller, "the ascender" starred down into the world below, listening to the thoughts and the minds of his being, watching, and feeling the genorobs every movement. Roberts connection to the world was so keen, so flawless, that he could feel the smallest of creatures tunneling through the deepest crevice's of the earth and beyond the world into the deepest depts of outer space. He knew what was out there around him everywhere. The only time Robert was not wholly connected to the world, the people, the universe, was when he was in motion. The simplest of tasks cost him his dept of concentration, and in those moments he was exposed to harm, or even death. He could only focus on the things immediately around him, what he was doing, what he was hearing, and what he was seeing. Robert could move at lightning speeds. He could shoot across the world in an instant, almost teleport. The speed was so fast that the crack, and the boom from his movements would break the sound barrier. But just like a bull he could not make sharp turns at this speed. The ascender was stronger than anything known to man. He could fly, and he could manipulate gravity to an expanse that even he couldn’t phantom yet. He could more than likely pull the stars right out of the skies to be used as weapons. His eyes could see perfectly wherever he landed his sights he could see exactly what he needed and at this moment he was next to the ozone layer hiding from the worlds detection systems and looking on the ground seeing, looking, watching, the advancements, evolution of the genorobs. He knew he had to destroy it, the bio organism did not belong to or with man. Its power, growth, and advancing being was something no one understood except the beings inside of him, They tore his mind apart constantly and they were always with him, connected to the organisms somehow, seeking to destroy each part of it that it encountered. The organism was deadly. It connected itself to the dead, and the living alike, changing its host to fit its deadly desires, destroying everything around it even the host itself. The organism sought the control and destruction of worlds, galaxies, anything it made contact with. Humans were a contact highly beneficial to the genorobs, they were the longest surviving anatomy it had found as a host, with its regenerating abilities, and cell manipulation, But still unstable, literally disentegrating within weeks. The genrosheeds searched for life to live, the irony was the capacity of its destruction and need to destroy. Robert sat and watched the worse thing he and his partial self-had thought they had ever seen. The advancement in the genorobs survival, the host currently inhabited by the geenrosheeds was part human, part geenrosheed, part machine. The creation of this evolution was a dangerous find, an accident by an overzealous inventor and engineer. As Robert thought this his mind slipped back into his own creation. Robert use to think he was a chronic sleepwalker, every night he would stager out of his West Virginia home and walk a mile or so into a rural region of his new home town and when he'd awaken he'd be outside in whatever he decided to sleep in which is why he stopped sleeping naked with his wife, and he would be staring blankly up into the clouds or so he thought, but he was actually being watched, called, and positioned for this act from God or whatever he believed, He was unaware, and didn’t realize his privilege. He awoken in the field again that evening looking up blankly, but tonight was different, his body was unnaturally warm and vibrating and he could not move this time, he was scared, sweating and trying with all of his might to bring life back into his seemingly dead limbs. He wanted to get away, but he could not move a single eyelid. as he looked on he finally noticed something glowing in the sky, he had no idea of how fast whatever it was, was moving, but he knew, somehow he could feel that whatever it was, it and all of its danger was heading straight for him. Roberts mind shook, crazy, mindless thoughts, words, voices, and sounds, his body vibrated harder now, sweat pouring all over him, his heart pounding. The object small, big, glowing, fast, was coming on to him in a manner that he didn’t understand. All of a sudden sharp immense pain shot through his body, burning, tearing, changing every fiber in his being. He shouted a scream deeper than his bowels, ahhhhhhhhhh, he would later find out that his screams were heard miles and miles away, whatever it was he felt that it was tearing him apart. Robert was now enveloped in blue flames, which scorched out of every part of his separating anatomy, his eyes, ears, everywhere he looked like a cracked molten rock. Every atom pulsating by now, separating and connecting again and again, it felt horrible. Finally, the pain stopped. what Robert didn’t know was that he would look like this every time he took flight, blasted off, or ran at high rates of speed. The only time he was solid was when he stood still, was under 100 miles per hour or he was Robert, and not the ascender. In the beginning Robert only knew of the mental and now physical separation, he could not control it, it seemed to control him, train him so to speak. Robert snapped out of his thoughts when he felt the genorob solidify its change, he felt its strength, movements, and anger. Robert stretched from his bawled-up position, he now stood 6'1, he was 230 pounds. Blue embers cracked solid parts of his body as he prepped for a blast. Robert spoke seemingly to himself, but not at all to himself, simply saying "it’s time" as the last word left his mouth the sound of the sound barrier breaking was all that was left as he shot toward the genorob. Crack, boom. The ascenders knowledge advanced just as quickly as the genrosheeds, Robert knew things before knowing them. He was just outside of 50 feet from the genorob when it turned to meet the battle. Just as the genorob had fully turned Robert smashed directly into the genorobs chest fully aware of the battle that lay ahead.

The Perfect World
A man moved into an empty house on my street and a lot of construction went on for a while inside the house. Some of the workers told me that the man is having the house renovated on the inside so that he can be kept in stasis while he is connected to a virtual world. He will have his body’s physical needs like food fed to him intravenously, and anything else he may need taken care of by a crew of people that will be there to make sure that nothing happens to interrupt his virtual world life. I thought to myself how crazy is that to have your neighbour do that, he must be having a midlife crisis. Who would want to escape his real life?

The Lost Mound
The Lost Mound A young woman named Meabh (Mave) was walking around in Ireland one day when she found a cow chewing on some grass beside a large mound in the middle of the field not too far from a hill. She got closer to the cow and noticed that some rocks and earth had fallen away and were hidden by the grassy area. Upon further inspection and as she coaxed the cow to move to another area a few feet away, she then noticed something strange as there seemed to be a stone that was different from the others, and after removing some of the plant overgrowth around the stone she found some old runes carved into the wall beside the large stone.

The Dark in the light
It was simple for Father to bring a knife into the cell. . . A chill ran through the stone walls, each droplet popping on the ground as it landed. Each vertebrate of the girl’s spin shivered, but she knew she had to keep moving forward. The shadows of claws and wings lay before the moonlit hallway, and each one was just a figment of her imagination.

4. Battle of the Bloodline
Need to catch up? Chapter 1 Chapter 2 Chapter 3 Chapter 4: Cupping my hand, I scooped water up to my mouth to quench the thirst which was trapped in my throat. It felt as if I swallowed a spoonful of peanut butter in one gulp. The cool liquid ran down my cheeks and my nose dropping one after another back into the pond. The ripples collided but continued to spread until the rings disappeared into smooth glass.

Not So Human After All
That was 16 and a half years ago. I haven’t seen him since then. He died five years ago. Since we left when I was a baby, I never really knew him so I’ve always kind of felt indifferent about his death. It never really affected me. I’m glad I didn’t know him. Even if people believed so, he wasn’t a good man. He was horrible. My mom literally got sick when she had found out what kind of man she had been with.

Tales From the Void
Gabriela worked her way through the thick under brush of thorns and thistle. Thankfully, she wore heavy clothing to keep her olive skin from being peeled from her body. Sweat poured down her face, her muscles ached, and her breath was labored occasionally she had stop and untangle her sandy hair. No had come to this temple in more than a thousand years, the only reason she knew of it was because of Biba her contact in the criminal underbelly or Oshireth.

The Light Worker
1. I stared into the mirror, sweat dripping from the tip of my nose. Eyes losing focus, the world around me went soft. I tried not to focus on the blood running off my fingertips and down the drain. I tried not to picture the last five hours of my life on repeat, but the images just kept coming. And as I sank down to the floor, tears rolling down my face, I realized that this is the only place I could have ended up. I’d really like to tell you it wasn’t all my fault…. But the claw marks up and down my arms would tell you otherwise.
