Alesteria
The day grew hot as the sun rose in the air over the city of Ceron. Balestor, a man of medium stature with black hair, approached the city on horseback. As Balestor looked at the city, he couldn’t help but notice that in the light of the sun, the blue marble of the city shined like the sea. The blue city was built around a plateau in the brown grass of the Plain of Ceron. Ceron was then surrounded by a circular wall. As he approached the gate, Balestor saw the market was in session outside the city gates. He rode among the merchant stalls as many of them tried to get him to buy various trinkets from them. However, Balestor’s attention was caught by a beggar near the entrance to the city. This man was wearing rags and looked as though he had not eaten in days Balestor could almost see the mans ribs. He was surrounded by two guards and a baker, there was some argument that was being settled.

To My Beloved, Neptune
By: Tyler Smiley “That’ll be two-hundred and twenty-two mexals” the shop clerk said. I reach down and pull out the mexal card. He asks to see the name, “Mr. Keirk! No way youre Mr. Kierk! His skin is not that shade, no offense. Plus, he would not be caught in this dumpster fire of the third wave nebula!” “Whoa, let me stop you there,” I said sarcastically. “I work for the guy. Here is his bio-signature.” My face begins to pixelate and become unrecognizable as it buffers the image of my boss. Within three seconds, I am a digital copy of Dennis Kierk, billionaire, technomancing politician on track to be the first being to live on a planet past the asteroid belt. The clerk begins to ooze sweat as he looks like he is not sure what he has just witnessed. “Oh, you all have this technology. The Wikipedia info scanner indicated representative bio-signature use. He shoved me the much-needed supplies and ran into the bathroom for safety. I jetted back to the Armadopolis, a fortress of a shuttle more akin to a floating city.

The Midnight Agency
The Midnight Agency Characters and Storylines It was 2009 when I first came up with the idea of a half-angel private investigator. I was stuck at the customer service desk while working at Kohls and had a notebook to keep me busy. This was when I figured I would write a novel. At this point, Laurel K. Hamilton and Charles de Lint were my go-to when it came to Urban Fantasy. I've always loved the supernatural and fantasy, so if a book involved dragons or creatures of the night, then I was in.

Inhumanity
Inhumanity “What the? Uhhhh…. stupid alarm, why did I get an alarm clock that drives itself away from me? Oh yeah that’s right, it helps me wake up. Well, I need to get ready for school.” Max gets into the shower, eats, dresses. He has a habit of looking at his fossil collection everyday before leaving. They’ve been there since he arrived at the apartment, after he found out what they were, he’s always enjoyed looking at them. Max finishes up and hops onto his hover cycle to travel to school.
