Alex The Inventor - Chapter 12 (Pt.5)
Ebooks 1 and 2 (to date) can be read at: Deep Sky Stories Chapter 12 (Part 5) - Speaking to a Ghost He took a deep breath and shut his eyes in anticipation of the cold splash of water, but what happened next shocked Alex more than if the pool had been ice-cold. There was no splash; in fact, there was no water at all. Instead Alex felt a twisting, turning force pushing and buffeting him about as though he was a leaf on the wind. It seemed like he was falling yet it was hard to tell whether he was falling down or falling up. Soon, however, an equilibrium was reached where the forces acting on him were doing so in equal measure. Alex at last felt a calm, slow, floating feeling. Still holding his breath, he chanced a peek at his new surroundings.

How to Solve the California Water Problem
The California water situation is dangerous to live with. We use a lot of water. In particular, Los Angeles rich people who import water to water a perfect lawn with. We could start by cleaning up our plastic-encrusted and polluted oceans. In California, the last four years have been filled with on-again, off-again drought, and really hot weather that does not make sense in the winter, being at 70 degrees and not our usual 50-68 degrees. My solution to the California water crisis is to take icebergs from Antarctica and melt them as well as harvest the water. We would then desalinate the water, extracting the salt, making it into clean water for our plants and our perfectly kept lawns. The drought has made keeping a lawn in California somewhat impractical. This is why people are using astroturf these days. California may turn into even more of a desert than it is already even if I live in what used to be marshland, which evolved into the Silicon Valley that it is today.

Astrology of the 2020 Elections: Michael Bennet
Introduction In 2016, I saw that the astrological community was very divided on who was going to win the presidential elections, but I noticed that these astrologers had one thing in common: their predictions were driven more by bias than astrology. Hilary Clinton supporters were predicting her win, while Trump supporters predicted his win. Not once did I see a Democrat predict Trump's victory nor did a Republican predict Clinton's. For someone actually wanting to study astrology, it was very disappointing.

Movie Review: 'Encounter' Is Good Bad
Encounter stars Luke Hemsworth as Will Dawkins. Will lives in his sister’s, Teresa (Cheryl Texiera), garage, sadly recreating the image of his late daughter and his still living former wife, Jessica (Anna Hutchinson), in sad clown paintings. Will was left paralyzed by the accident that killed his daughter and the overall trauma was more than his wife could bear. To say that Will’s life is one of ongoing despair would be an understatement.

Why Should I Care About How Scientists Do Their Science?
Hi again everyone! Holidays had me completely out of the creative zone, but I’m back to tell you about the science of mental disorders. However, before that, I am going to start with a more broad post about how scientists find out about the brain.

The Heightening Interests in Solar Energy
As more and more people are learning about the benefits of clean energy, the more popular solar energy is becoming. Solar energy is basically able to provide all the energy a home needs when it comes to running the appliances in the home. When installing a solar energy system in a home, most installers advise homeowners to also add the solar battery. A solar battery makes it convenient to run high capacity appliances. Not only can solar energy take care of all of our needs when it comes to enjoying electricity in the home, but they do it in a clean way.

'Ad Astra': Is It Worth the Journey?
Luke, I am your father... Another movie about an astronaut with daddy issues—at least that’s what I came away with after seeing Ad Astra. But there’s real issues explored here, and the near future panoramic journey to the Moon, Mars and Neptune gives us enough to think about. There is one very pertinent question above all others, though. Is it worth the very introspective 123 minute journey?
